As far as on track, Hunter is the modern day Windham.

To me he is already doing way better than expected, specially after his San Diego finish

Yeah and he has a lot of learning to do. Those couple cross jumps in race 1 were not cool. But running 1st for almost 10mins is pretty crazy. And he's one of few riders that hasn't crashed once all season.

Hunta is reelin in the years. Old man Eli, old man Krokz, old man Webb, old man Elhomo. Wont be long now and he will have the measure and start winning. Tonight race 2 is just the start for him. 🇦🇺🤙

He's a veteran.  He needs to keep doing what he's doing.  Let things come to him.  Works for Webb.

So being a big dude and riding more over the front than anyone and pushing the front is obviously never going to change for chase so just pencil that in until he retires, so whatever, but the starts.....

How do you justify working on anything other than starts for a while? Burn through all the clutches. Have people stand next to you and beat the shit out of you to distract you, do whatever, but work on starts and only starts until you can at least not hit the gate or have to double clutch on the start.

It's like a basketball player who can't shoot free throws. It's a choice. Just work on them more and develop the muscle memory. And how is there not a VR start simulator that he can play all day every day? He loves fortnite..... maybe play SX starting gate game instead?

I think even at his best, Hunter will always be the bridesmaid. Just like Windham.

And somebody gonna have a talk with prado or is he just going to have to get launched a time or two? He's made a lot of progress this year but he's a loose cannon trying to get by him and can't imagine it's going to be tolerated much longer.

I think Deegs needs 3 more wins to tie Jett in 250sx. Needs 8 to tie stew, lol

I think we were about to have the first "Beastmode" sighting in several years before Eli made that mistake in Moto 2. He was flying.

San Diego last year was the definition of beastmode!

To me, Beastmode is coming through the pack from a poor start to win. Too bad he had poor starts tonight in the first two races, as he should have won the overall; he was so fast.

As much as I respect Tomac and his 4 decade career, his beastmode days are over.

He was better two years ago. If this was superpole he'd be great, but this is an actual race, and it hasn't been great....

Tomac was like 8th during the first laps and blew by everyone including Jett. You don't get more beastmode than his last years San Diego or 2023 A1 ride 😅

This was two weeks ago when he got to 7 wins. Are Jett and Stew the only others with more now?

Maybe not, but Roczen knows damned well it's early in the season. He also knows Ando isn't just gonna roll over, and he shouldn't in any case. It's an individual sport last I heard.

I will expand on my comment for my 7 down voters. Hunter will probably have a long successful career. Once he figures things out he will start getting some 450 wins. He is close. But just like Windham, he will be racing against the best rider of this generation (his brother) for the rest of his career which will ultimately prevent him from reaching the top.
