He's Aussie, they often pronounce D like a J...pretty common.

That's how it happens. He is a skilled presenter, never quite understood the dislike for him, he's good. Can't have a booth full of moto bros.

Nevermind the typical American accent that pronounces it "Ducadi" that probably 90% of us have. Nobody thinks that THEY have an accent, it's always everyone else.

Names are names, you don't get to decide an alternate pronunciation without sounding like a giant Jick.

Languages and accents are a thing. Getting this worked up over a pronunciation is the weird part.

Two threads (so far) about the pronunciation of “Ducati.”

It’s easy to spot the Americans who have never watched MotoGP or WSBK coverage.

For real. It boils down to that for the vast majority. Not everyone, to be fair. But how dare he have an accent. The best is picturing some dude from down south whining about Diffy's accent. He's not the best, he's far trom the worst. Leigh is fine. I dont even notice him

If I was getting paid to be on TV and narrate my meal, I'd learn how to pronounce the dishes.

There's a difference between a person using a new language and a person taking money in a professional speaking job.

Everybody miss pronounces every Japanese manufacturer too. You just don't know it because theyre not petty enough to post threads about it.

And there is simply people speaking in their native accents. I don't want newscaster Accents announcing the sport making it sound sterile, but I guess the very reason this thread exists is why newscaster voice exists in the first place.
