I don’t care who it is, a 3 point penalty for post race testing is excessive.
The bike obviously passed pre-race, and anything can happen during the race; lose packing, pipe damage etc. it’s not likely to be deliberate?
So Kawi wouldn’t cheat for Prado but ktm is prepared to?
I agree, 3 points is way too harsh. Prado will most likely not be in a title fight so the points do not really matter, but what if this would happen to Tomac or Roczen? 1 should be enough.
I thought the same before today. But prado may be in the title fight if he keeps riding like this in sx. We all know he’s good at getting to the first corner first.

This week teams should be working on some kind of remote ignition cut-off, so post race, the team can shut the bike off and this points loss will never happen again.
Marginal gains… three points could result in a lot of money come season’s end.

Consistent enforcement is the issue, and it’s easily solved, the AMA just needs to find a set of functional testicles..
The only thing that sucks about this is the completely inconsistent enforcement.

(IMO) the whole sound check at a professional motorsports event is a joke, ever been to a monster truck event in a stadium ? Cased closed.

They should replace the sound check with a maximum diameter of the end of the muffler. The outlet (the part of the muffler inside the end cap) should also have a minimum length. Easily checked and easy to enforce.
Makes me wonder if Prado would have finished like 10th Place would hé have gotten that same penalty. Every part of my gut feeling says no.. with this Bs I really pray for Prado to finish strong whole season long
