Correction: Deegan confirmed for 250 for 2026 SX, which coast is still an unknown.

250’s for SX…and a title, then 450s for outdoors. Makes directional sense.

I’m hoping he decides to go 450 full time starting at A1. I can understand wanting to end 250 supercross on a high note, but I think he would learn a lot more on the 450. Would make the 450 class even more exciting than it is already too.

Nobody with a brain actually thought he would disappoint or be underwhelming on a 450. It's more about the Deegan fans constantly saying he would move up and beat Jett and let's be honest.. Two different worlds right now in SX. But Deegan is exciting and will only make the 450 class even better to watch, whether we like him or not.

He needs to stop copying Sexton.

Brother, that is not true. 90% of the forum has been “he wont make the transition “

Last year it seemed like nearly everyone, myself included, had him sweeping the series before ‘25 Sx started and it was more of a slow burn than a barn burner.  He’s obviously the favorite and will likely win but I remember being a few rounds in and thinking that he wasn’t all that dominant.

It’s Supercross.  Anything can happen and you don’t have the title until you have it.

He really found his groove tho. I think he will sweep the series this year with his refined race craft.

If he moved up I'd put him 3-8, is that not making the transition? He'll have flashes of brilliance, but the full gate will be:

Jett, Hunter, Coop, Sexton, Eli, Roczen, Jcoop, Plessinger belongs in the top group now if he's healthy, that's 8 right there who all think they should be regular winners or regular podium guys. I can see Deegs getting a start and beating a few of them on a good night  but he just isn't peak form in SX yet. MX he's a podium lock first year.

Nah, he said there will be an official announcement of what he’s doing in about a week during Lewis’ press conference pod.

I think you can add Malcolm to the list in SX.

Not really a Deegan fan and he's very exciting to watch.

He will perform well, very well.  Give him time.  He could finish in front of any of those guys on the list with the right circumstances in his first season.  Not at all in the way that Jett finishes in front of those same guys though.

Deegan will be a good 5th average, with a bit of podium. Then as time goes on, will be solid podium with a bit of wins. Jett will win Champs, but if something unfortunate happens, Deegan could be there for it.

If he does stay in 250 - depending on who is in what coast - I can see him battling with Jo and Davies. Davies best him some last year. And Jo got the best of him in SMX.  So we will see.

But - will be great racing.

Malcolm came straight off the boat and put it to those guys in Paris. Can’t help but think he will be a top 5 mainstay right off the bat.

Yes, 6th place is quite impressive - not.  And spare us the excuses.  Nobody took him out, he simply continues to make C class mistakes.  The 2nd race was just sad.  As soon as he had to deal with some real pressure, he looked back constantly until his lack of focus made him crash.  Anyone who has actually raced knows that the "Alessi lookback" is the kiss of death.

I’m hoping he decides to go 450 full time starting at A1. I can understand wanting to end 250 supercross on a high note, but I think he would learn a lot more on the 450. Would make the 450 class even more exciting than it is already too.

maybe not his decision. belongs to people running the race team sponsoring him.
