I think I remember hearing he tore his achilles or acl at a1.
Talon Hawkins just hung ‘em up, too, didn’t he?
The moto meat grinder. Crazy how tough....and lucky guys that make it to 30 really are.
So where does this leave Triumph next year ? If Smith is riding a 450 next year. Leaving Swoll and Forkner for sure. Harrup maybe and who else is looking for a ride in the 250 class.

Harrup should stay- finish SX healthy and he’s a sound prospect for 26 in a Deeganless 250 outdoor class!
Bummer to hear this news. This sport is unforgiving and tough to make it in. I thought he would end up being the best of the Bakersfield bunch.
Whatever happened to Aiden Tijero, he could throw insane scrubs. Did good on 125 at nationals that one year then disappeared, did he ever go pro?
Haarup will most likely extend his stay in the US. It looks like the 450 MXGP Team is being pushed back another year.
I believe Enzo Temmerman still doesn't have a pro deal signed. He won 5 out of 6 motos at Loretta and won the Horizon Award, so he could be an option.
Mitch has to make room for him, right? Won a futures round as well so indoors he's decent on SX as well. I'm a big Masterpool fan but I'd take Enzo over him

Hepler
Great interview
Has Ivan moved east?
I’m happy to see Ivan got this opportunity!
Both good dudes...bodes well for Triumph!
Love this! Boffem!
Helper raced pro from 03-09 and had some wins in lites and podiums in 450s… I don’t think he should be in the same conversation as most of these guys. Was his career shorter than some guys? Sure. But most of these people listed above weren’t in the same field as Hepler. He was a very solid podium contender from 03-09.
Pit Row
Terren O’Dell, another amateur fast guy (Team Green, Team Suzuki, Rock River in pros), was in the Trettel group. NorCal ripper Charlie Morrison is a blast from the past who disappeared early. Pugmire, Kelley Tedder, Jesse Casillas, etc.
Kelley Tedder had some trick Kawis back in the day. Charlie Morrison was in the same class as Daniel Sani and Dayton Beavers? Pugmire was a ripper in Sinisolo but never saw him do anything on big bikes.
Yep, Trent seemed to lose steam during the transition.
I remember Turbo Reif absolutely crushing the field at Ponca (02 or 03). Thought for sure he was headed for greatness.
On the 450…?
He’s not racing, he’s been the one doing all the 450 testing.
He might be the VIP host for Triumph at the races too.
