I know some hate hypothetical threads so I tried to put as much in the title as possible so they could avoid this thread.
Which active riders, with their current resume have a HOF career to you? Meaning if they didn’t race another race would still be a HOF guy.
For me the clear HOF guys are Tomac and Jett.
I would also put Webb in. I think his problem in the real world will be only hardcore fans can really admire his 17 rounds of consistency championships he wins.
Hall of Very good(close but no cigar) is Chase and Anderson.
I want to say Kenny but no 450SX title might be a deal breaker.
Tomac and Jett.
Gajser and Herlings.
Neither does Pastrana, but he's in. Kenny's good to go in my opinion.
The two no-brainers are Jett & Eli, though.
Edited to add: K-Dub's in with no big bike championships.
I feel like Roczen and Febvre will get in since they both have 2 450 MX championships. Not many can say that.

How many premier class champions aren't in the HOF? Reed will get in this year, who else?
The Dogger got the nod with only one 125 class championship.
A better question is when will the AMA create a fitting webpage for the Hall of Famers instead of some crappy hub.catalog site. One that is easier to navigate and sort by specialty, they don't even have Villopoto listed and he got accepted in 2021.
Hall of Famers - AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame
Since we’re presumably talking AMA HOF, it’s important to note that motocross championships are not the only thing that helps determine who gets in. Making a positive impact is important too.
Shoo-ins: Eli, Jett
On track: Chase, Cooper
Potential: Haiden, Jeremy Martin (not current)
Eli - duh
Cooper- people acting like he isn't a duh as well are insane. He has 30+ SX wins, has won a national outdoors on a 450, and is a 250 national champion outdoors. Shoe in.
Kenny - I actually think his longevity is helping his hall of fame case and even though he doesn't have a SX title, he will get in. K dub is in. Kenny is this generations version but actually has 2 premier titles to show for it.
Jett - already a no brainer
Chase - going to be hard not to induct someone who won 2 lites titles, both premier series titles, a MxoN champ, and he will retire with a ton of wins. Probably a no brainer at this point.
Why Herlings and not Roczen?
Roczen is in . Two 450 outdoor titles including one of the most dominant seasons ever .
If you win a premier class title, you automatically get into the HOF...so a lot of them.
Tomac, Roczen, Anderson, Webb, Sexton, J.Lawrence, Ferrandis, Osborne..
Webb is a shoo-in.
Every eligible 450 (premier class) SX champ is in the HOF except Donnie Hansen. Webb has 3 SX championships.
I think Albertyn and Donnie Hansen are the only premier class MX champs not in the HOF.
Chiz needs to be just for his longevity. His first pro race was in 2004..
Kevin Sherman
And he is the record holder for lcq wins.
Webb - Eli - Jett - Chase 450sx title
How about 2025 North American National 450 Champ Phil Nicolette?
According to Wikipedia, Holeshot was inducted in 2003.
Pit Row
Where do you see that. I can't find a Wikpedia page for him. I found one for Josh Hansen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Hansen_(motorcyclist)
He's not listed on the AMA site: https://hub.catalogit.app/ama-motorcycle-hall-of-fame/folder/hall-of-famers
Also the undefeated 2024 SMX LCQ Champ.
Personally, I think the entire '81 des Nations team should be in (LaPorte, Sun & Hansen. Johnny O's obviously already there). Same with Marty Moates.
https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donnie_Hansen
It looks like maybe the MX Des Nations team was inducted, but not Hansen individually. Which seems kind of weird. http://hof.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/detail.aspx?RacerID=311
Especially if you consider how hard it is too win premier class SX and MX both in the same year.
JoJo Keller.
So I can enter into the AMA motocross championship and supercross championship and be a nice guy and end up in the hall of fame?
I think the point was that the AMA HOF is not just about successful racers. There are lots of contributors to the sport in the HOF. Promoters. innovators, ambassadors, etc. You have to be more than just a nice guy. For instance, Jay Leno and Steve McQueen are in the AMA HOF.
Hof??
Et3 and his brain fade issues over the years... he's close... but hof?? I think not..
Webb.... great talent... great rider... but hof?? Ya no... same can be said for Kenny and el hombre and chase for that matter...
Imo the only current hof rider, here or abroad, is Jett... end of story....
