It doesn't appear that MC is a very big fan of Pourcel...I wonder if that had anything to do with him not landing at Honda??????

Well, it is kind of stupid to hold out for more money in the US when he just sustained a season ending injury. He will probably need at least a year to adjust to the 450 and to fully heal. Who wants to make that gamble. He needs to race in Europe if he wants a lot of money. The US market is delining so anyone knows its stupid to try and get more money when less is available.

His shoulder is probably already 99% healed and he's been practicing on the 450 exclusively for over a year now.

And don't forget that he beaten all the fast Europeans like Phillipaerts and Ramon on a 450cc in the Belgian Championship!

This is a result from the legendary "Kester Heide"

I saw him ride a 450cc, It looks like he is one with that bike it would be a shame to see a gifted men as him rotten away because the "economy" doesn't work out.

He became 6the in the championship in 2007 and that with 3races not ridden because his horrible injury!

exactly .... he has already raced a 450 against top guys.. Americans just don't know about it.. therefore presume he is unproven... He is the best of the guys moving up and beat Dungey in supercross the last time they raced, he is as proven as a never raced a 450 sx rider can ever be.

But he still may be holding out for too much money. I hope he races somewhere in 2011 because he is great to watch.

Hey , Pourcel, don t be to greedy, prove your worth and sign a incentive contract, the economy is tough, granted your a great rider but pick and choose your battles carefully! You sitting out is not gonna make you in demand more next year.

Okay well, I didn't realize that he was already healed and back on the bike preparing. Heck, now I can see why he's holding out.

Didn't Pourcel purposely finish a moto in 9th or 11th so as to avoid a podium finish/ interview so that he could catch a plane? Ultimately costing him, Mitch, and an entire hard working team of technicians a Championship?

I like the guy personally and his riding style is amazing. But if the above statement is correct, that would have a tremendous effect on my perception of him if I was a hiring team manager. Winning a National Championship is about a lot more than 1 rider.

True to his form I can't imagine "the crafty frenchman" not having yet another trick up his sleeve...this sport has a short. Memory and sitting out 2011 will only bring less $ next yr. It would be better to tk a 1yr k for less and re neg next yr w a championship in ur bk pocket...this is better than trying for a bigger multi $ multichmpionship in12.

Is there any chance that Mitch Payton will start a 450cc team with Hansen and Pourcel?
He got a good relationship with Pourcel maybe the best he ever had with a rider (that what they say I never ask him haha)

And I think he said in a interview that he would start a 450cc team in the future but he didn't know when... But know he need to prepare a 450cc Kawasaki for Hansen (AUS SX) and 450cc Kawasaki for Ben Townly (GP Series) the jump is much, much smaller, don't you think??

To be honest I don't care what team I only hope he stays on a Motocross bike and don't screws us like JM Bayle because that was a shame that he quit dirt bike riding that soon!

GuyB: Why don't you offer him a free vital account if he does an interview. That way he can give his side of the story.

Honestly, If I'm Mitch, from a business perspective I don't start a 450 team. He built the PC 125/250f program into arguably the most successful team in the last 2 decades. Regardless of his feelings towards Christophe, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Why output more money in this economy.

I would love to see 377 on a PC Kawi, but if I'm Mitch at this point in time I stay away.

You let me laugh a little ... You probably blocked out 'Dilla where only Dungey has some feedback for Desalle. And then I will shut my mouth about Ken Roczen he made Canard looked very very very slow!

If Pourcel is behind the starting gate at anaheim1 on a 450cc he will show you that you are a fool like there is no other! Because he is one of the most gifted riders on a dirt bike and he can beat Stewart when he isn't hurt! That is THE big difference with Dungey!

I'm sure he has a trick up his sleeve. I think Mitch is going to give him the kawi 450F Hansen has been riding on it for months now. And he's going to park it under team two two motorsport truck.

Pourcel has been a Kawi guy for 10 years and his dad has the official MX1 Kawi team in Europe surely they are going to work something out. Or typical Pourcel could stick his finger to all the big team and show up as a privateer with Le Top Racing and be back with a vengeance!!!

BTW latest news he was getting his shoulder rehab in a Athlete center in France. Might not be riding yet but I bet he's working on his stamina out there!

Ive been told pourcel has offers from a few euro teams, i hope he races the gps again. The money might be better here than in the US. For all the risk and hard work to race at that level he is entitled to get every cent he deserves. Mcgrath hypocrite american.

Did you really say that Roczen made Canard look slow? There was one moto (the saturday qualifier) where Canard got a good start and was able to race w/Roczen and they battled lap after lap for 20+2 . Every other moto Canard was left battling from the back of the pack while Roczen was battling up front. I think it's funny how much people exaggerate to try to prove their point.

Pourcel is number one basher of the GP I can't see him come back he'll quit rather then ride the GPs. Anyway which team can do it only Martin Honda might have a spot but they would need a huge backing from the factory

Not yet confirmed but there are not many other options ...
I don't think team Martin Honda actually wants to have a MX2 rider for the 2011 GP season...
True but He told in a interview that he got very good contact with that team and with Honda Europe and Martin Honda is still the official Honda team but I don't know would he be fast enough for top 15 in MX2??

So, do we have any latest news on what is up with Pourcel?
Maybe Guy will give him a call since he has CP's cell. I would think .... with the clock running and it getting so close to the SX season starting ... that a quick chat would be in order.

CP is a unique talent. He takes lines no one else even considers and has the skill to make them work. I hope to see him out there in the big bike class.

I'm kind of starting to wonder if maybe he's just burnt out?
He came back from a MAJOR injury and won two SX lites championships, but has had two consecutive MX lites championships ripped out of his hands. I hope he is on the line at A1, but won't be to surprised if he isn't.
