Do you ever read what you type out loud? You should try it sometime. You sound like a complete fool.

Why am I not surprised you couldn't take the hint when you were banned the first time, 971_fan?

On Swap's podcast Monday Aray said that Cooper was at the ranch getting ready and that the AMA had Oneal make Coop kits with #4, #5 and 6.

I’ve heard all week that Cooper was the “official backup” for MX2.  I’m not surprised he got the spot.  Plus if Deegan isn’t 100% he should’nt race.  It’s a damn shame tho cause I wanted to see if Deegs could run with 450s!  The Deegan’s seem pissed with Mike Pellitier after Vegas and I’m sure the WSX deal announcement didn’t thrill MX sports LOL

First time I heard it was Steve Mattress during the 2022 Loretta’s bike claim.  But Jason Thomas repeats it all the time.

Weege coined it because they would do their multiple hour podcasts and a few minutes of it would cover whatever Deegan did that weekend and the entire comment section would be filled with Deegan super fans doing super Deegan fan things.

He said you can’t get rid of them if you ever mention Deegan in a show and he’s not wrong.

As I said in another post, I'm disappointed that it went down like this. Whether these are Haiden's words or his pr team it is a classy statement and I'm ready to cheer for Team USA!

Someone called it, It was the “team” that decided it. The same thing as last year when he initially wanted to race it but then the “team” decided he needed to do surgery ASAP. I’m happy it’s JCoop, in my opinion it should have been his spot after Vegas.

I think the kid can be a numbskull but damn, as a fan of the sport I’d have loved to see him go up against the Europeans.  Justin Cooper is a fantastic rider, a great guy, and should be a great addition to the team. This feels right after Cooper was basically given the spot only to have it yanked out from under him when Deegan said he’d race. It feels right for him to get it back, but slightly less exciting.

I’m not American but I’ll be cheering for the USA, as I always have since the 80s when guys like Bailey, O’Mara and Johnson dominated. If you’re a young guy who’s never seen the 1986 MXdN, do yourself a big favour and watch it before Sunday. If that doesn’t get you excited, nothing will! O’Mara had possibly the best ride in MX history.

I just hope Canada qualifies without Wright there.

Few have made such bad decisions, crashed themselves at such a slow speed and had as much consequence. He cartwheeled at Hangtown and sprang right up. Even the first moto crash at SMX Vegas finale he is running back to his bike. Got right back up after Kitchen took them both out for n St Louis. Freaky.

So happy for both JCoop and RJ. RJ that stepped up and went to France and JCoop for saying that he would ride anything this year if needed. And now they get a chance to do it on home soil to.

For many of us this is the high point of the year and want to see the riders treat the event with the amount of respect that it deserves. Not the ones that won’t go if they lack the perfect team mates or if it is in a uncomfortable place of the world.

Will root a little extra for the US team this year just because of RJ and JCoop’s presence.

I think Sexton should get some acknowledgement for always wanting to and being ready to represent USA, I know your post wasn’t bashing him but I do feel him wanting to represent his country has been lost in all the Deegan drama.

What? We NEVER saw this coming.....Can't say this lame attempt to re-hab his rep is going to have any staying power. Too bad. What could have been. Took his shot against Joe, didn't work. Should have gone ahead and won the race knowing that he would end in 2nd place in a 3 race series albeit for plenty of dough. Then he could have gone on to MXON looking to prove he is the best 250 dude on the planet, but. noooooo. Broke his own collarbone while racing with obvious ill intent. I mean, you can't make this shit up. Fuck me. Happy for Coop-Go USA. As a Canadian I'm pulling for this team-big fans of all 3. Would be a fucking sweet win.

As far as the broken collarbone consequence, his tip-over is the type of thing that commonly causes that injury.

I can name four guys I know personally who had the same consequence due to a slow speed tip-over just like that. I'm two of them.

He was not interested in representing his country the year he switched to KTM.

It’s widely reported that Honda would have backed him if he wanted to go to France just like Star is backing Eli now, that’s why I don’t put Sexton in the same category as some of the other riders.

The line of riders wanting to ride for US always get a lot longer the years it’s held on home soil.

At this point, I have done everything in my power to race this weekend...

...except avoiding injuring myself like a dumbass while repeatedly trying to take Shimoda out.

He was never going to race. Apparently Hailie Deegan has been peddling drugs throughout  the country out the back of her race truck. The Deegans have a lot of family drama going on coz the Feds are onto it and they've busted the drug ring.

No way Deegan would be in the right frame of mind with that shit going on.

Plenty of riders have ridden with newly plated collarbone. Herlings went 2-1 in MXGP 2 weeks after he broke it.

So maybe Deegan isn't so tough 😄🤷

Not all breaks are equal.  Some people have a clean break into 2 pieces.   Others have bad fractures  into multiple  pieces.

so the totality of our moto media reports on one of the most polarizing riders leaving one of the most prestigious races...by tweeting out a few words? Sigh. And then in 3 months they'll talk on pods about the "rumors" they were hearing in the days leading up to this news....yet never reporting on it.

Maybe he'll race the 2026 MXoN.

Heck, we didn’t get to see James at Nations until his 5th year of being pro.

the all-big bore format in 02/03 robbed us of some prime 125 stew. Could you imagine him at 17 on a KX250 at Zolder in 03? My God…

You know who only rode a 250 ONCE at the mxdn?

Jeffrey Herlings. In 2009. as a 15-year-old.

Now that's a crazy stat.

Honestly I hope someone in Haiden's corner makes him attend MXdN with the team. That way he can watch what he missed, so he can fully understand how wasteful his SMX takeout crash was. That way he actually "gets it".
