I'd love to see Jcoop go, but you kind of have to send Deegan. If you keep personal opinions out, an dlook objectively, he is the best 250 rider, hands down. And if he can perform, he's the best bet.

If Deegan is will to go with just having surgery, he is on a mission and will give his best and thats what we need to win.

Injured riders with delusional optimism, sure, that’s what we need to win.

I’m willing to bet his willingness is performative and he has no intention of riding, and will make a “last minute” decision to back out come next weekend.

edit: well would ya look at that. lol

Absolutely JCoop, primarily due to Deegan’s injury.  Secondarily, he’s a shithead.

Although I think his antics in LV were despicable, if he’s on the team, I’m still Team USA.

You may want to disregard my vote as I am Canadian.  I voted for Jcoop.

I seem to remember after deegan injured himself everyone was talking shit how he will skip out on mxon again, and now that he may still race after breaking his collarbone the hypocrites are still mad. lol I’m not surprised.

i'll take deegs 110% and i'm a jcoop fan.

i think  RJ over sexton is a upgrade at the moment and tomac will always give it his best. and deegs needs to get back in good graces with public....so he will ride crazy good like he always does when it gets like this. I'm not worried about his collar bone injury. many have ridden after being bolted.
tomac, deegan, rj is a damn solid team geezus haters need to take their bi-polar pills and take a seat

I'm old enough to remember 5 days ago when Deegan fell and injured himself while riding like a complete jackass under the weight of some championship pressure. Yeah, let's send him......

Deegan is the best rider when healthy but there's no way he's going to be at 100%. He declined the offer twice before (could've easily put off surgery a week)     Send JCoop- He deserves it.  Hayden was unprofessional, childish and dangerous at Vegas. Justin Cooper is all class.

"after being bolted" - can't think of a single one of them that was 100% at the first gate drop and that's where the problem lies.  Yes, they rode, is that good enough?

I'm guessing the jcoop votes have nothing to do with winning mxon and putting our best foot forward and everything to do with the menstrual cramps the name deegan seems to induce in a lot of vital posters😂

I feel like JCoop is a better choice, period. Way less unknown there.

Deegan is vulnerable and his competition knows it.

That's not accurate. People are upset because last year he made the excuse of having to have surgery (much much more minor than what he did this week), but now that it's in the US where it's easier and he needs the positive PR, he's suddenly toughened up. Right or wrong, that's the optic.

Deegan didn't bow out only because of surgery last year.  He stated clearly that he also lost a championship the year before by starting the season injured.  His focus was on healing up and being ready for SX.  He also said that he'd like to represent at MXoN, and is doing that, even though he has a broken collar bone.  Some of you won't be happy no matter what he does.  If he didn't go, he has a fake injury, and is just trying to get out of it.  If he does go, he doesn't deserve it, and is only doing it to fix his PR problem from last week.  Make up your damn mind.

Fact is that the kid has heart.  Even Shimoda said that he respects that.

Like I said in a different thread, Kitchen is the villain in all of this.  Crossing over the ruts to take out Deegan the week before, with no real upside for himself, was stupid.

And Deegan's "take out" attempts on Shimoda were very mild.  Desperate, but pathetically mild.  The only reason people are so upset is that Shimoda's such a good dude, and it's Deegan doing it.  Where was the outrage when Tomac was doing the same thing to Dungey, or quite a bit worse being how Hampshire took out Hammaker earlier this year?

It's more than a bit hypocritical.

I’m a fan of Deegan’s talent, determination and skill. But he clearly took himself out being a dumbass. I’d love to see him represent the US at the MXON if he’s miraculously at 95% by next week he’s our best bet.  I’d much rather have JCoop ride than watch Deegan self destruct when he realizes that he physically can’t keep it together.

We were fine with him going before last week because he was clearly the fastest guy.  Still don't like that he was even considered since he said no the last 2 years but whatever.  It's the injury, antics and complete lack of class that has so many wanting JCoop who has already proven he can handle the pressure and rise to the occasion.  Deegan has shown he has no sense when the pressure is on.

Performance wise, I say it is even. Both are super fast on 250's (I've never seen besides Herlings someone as fast as Jcoop during practice sessions on the 250). Justin is a very good starter and if he gets the front pace, it is gonna help him.

Haiden is a hard charger and will be able to come up the field, I'm not worried about that either.

Image wise, I'll take Jcoop more than Haiden BUT Deegan is eager for redemption. If he comes out of injury and make a great performance at MXON (top 5 in moto 1, top 3 in moto 2, 1st 250 overall and wins MXON), it is gonna help is reputation. You are only as good as yout last race can be translated as people will like and remember your last performance the most.

He need to end his year on a good note, performance and audience.

Just to be clear, my rant wasn't directed at you.  If it seemed that way, my apologies.

From what I've read, mostly here, over the last decade, I'm under the impression that once the scapula is plated, the rider is good to go racing.  If that's the case, and Deegan is able to ride at 98%, then we should send him.  If not, then I agree that he shouldn't be racing.

I get the feeling that he's mostly doing it for the fans, because he said he would.
