Figured it is the international language - most Brits & Aussies would be salty that it was even censored here, I spelled it out intentionally, because that is what he is.

One universal fact regardless of country or chosen discipline in life is that your personality is developed in the environment you were raised up in. Looks like from the outside that HD never stood a chance of being a well balanced individual with manners that sometimes needed delivered with a slap round the back of the head.

I know the old cliche “ I blame the parents “ is bringing in the nature versus nuture argument but it’s plain to see. I feel sorry for the kid as I see issues down the line that might negate any net worth he’s accumulated and I hope for his sake he develops some maturity and humility that might attract some  respect he thinks he’s getting from a faceless social media platform.

Reading through this thread has some positive narratives in the context that most US people still appreciate childhood instilled manners ( see Jo Shimoda).

Anyone on this thread is lying 100% if they say they wouldn't do the same thing. It's crazy how yall are hating on him for trying anything he could to win a championship. Also I don't beleive he tried to take him out.. he went in hard and his front brake hit on Joe and it took them both out.

On the fourth or fifth attempt…

No you didn't. Jo was a class act and he expected some shenanigans for big $. Webb said he expected there to be shenanigans to.

yeah - it got sloppy, and appears to have been ill conceived.   IDK - to me - it's hard to believe that Haiden came up with that approach, thought about it during the week, and then, on race day, decided to go through with it - all on his own.  Hard to believe he didn't bounce it off of someone, or some form of the idea was brought to him.

It seems like you guys can not see how it really was. Maybe if you let your feeling out of it you Will see. Deegan tried to get shimoda to make a mistake by running it on him. Je had multiples opportunity to do what Osborne did to savatgy but he did not. He was still holding back. And when they crashed he did it in a slow section to not make shimoda crash hard.

Wipe Deegans load from your eyes and watch it again. Deegan spent the whole race trying to line Jo up and wreck him. From the gate drop where he lined up inside him and swerved across him and the very next straight where he was looking around for him snd again swerved across in the turn to go for him. To every lap after it before he crashed out. He was trying to take Jo out. Not force a mistake. He was trying to take him out of the race.

The only reason it didn’t work is because Jo was aware Deegan was going to try taking him out. So he rode defensively and Deegan couldn’t get a good shot at him. Talking shit to him on the line before hand shows just how dumb that little punk is. Give him a warning about how he won’t know what’s coming… so that he now knows it’s coming?

Everyone knows exactly what sort of rider he is (except for his fans funnily enough) and honestly the only shocking thing is he wasn’t even trying to hide it even while on probation. He thinks he is above the rules. Probably because he is. Deegan wasn’t trying to win that race. He was trying to wreck his opponent. He just doesn’t give a fuck about other riders. Not even his teammates. So its karma that he crashed trying to injure Jo and he was the one who couldn’t continue.

How dare he talk crap to Jo! Not in my sport! He’s so dumb because he’s talking crap on the line instead of being a quiet respectful young gentleman!!!

Making threats!!! GASP! Trying to get in the head of another rider you say? The audacity!

How dare he do everything he can to win!

Wearing a jersey with a skull in MY SPORT? Blasphemy!!

I’m pretty sure they’re hired to win races, not appease the likes of you.

If you can’t handle it go watch golf. Sounds like it’s got you pretty stressed out.

I bet the first moto you were watching all pumped up seeing Deegan pass everyone and almost catch Jo. But then you found something to complain about.

Oh and he definitley used some type of heat seeking lock on technology that’s against the rules to land on top of Ryder D. How could he have possibly done that by accident?

Yet here you are complaining. But you’ll renew your Peacock subscription and watch all next year. And complain again, every year. It’s a cycle. 👍

How Dare you, How Dare you them!!!!! 😂

I was going to stay out of this as each is entitled to their own opinion. Unfortunately this has far reaching consequences. Haiden is a role model, in the age of social media his actions will influence others like no one before him. This sport is dangerous enough as it is. Having seen the after effect of someone having their ribs break and rip through their heart, it isn't pretty. 4 people died at or local track in a 10 year period. None of those were caused by collisions with other riders. We don't need to encourage any behavior that will make the sport any more dangerous. If things get worse, tracks won't be able to stay insured. Not insured means not open.

We need to start with a definition of dirty riding, which we clearly don't have. Personal opinion is:

A Is the racer trying to improve position?

B do they have a wheel on the other rider?

C Are they pointed downfield such that without contact they'd be taking a racing line?

If the answer to all those is yes, contact wasn't dirty. With Haiden's final attempt he clearly got beside Jo and turned into him purposely. I'm sure others disagree, and more could be added to my rule of thumb, but the real point is we need a definition. A definition as unambiguous as possible, then hold people to that standard. People that don't ride do not understand the positive life lessons and character development learned in this lifestyle, but they do see noise and dust. We've got enough people that want us shut down and eliminated, we don't need reckless behavior on our own part to add fuel to the fire.

Unless FIM or AMA step up and do something, it will take a tragedy for change to occur, and the change won't be good. I have zero confidence either organization can do anything useful. They've had over 50 years so far, and their track record shows no indication of leadership. Why would they start now.

Let the down votes begin.

Deegan isn’t the only one either. Levi is also a role model as well. Both riders pulled some dirty tactics.AMA for sure needs to do something with it.

I guess common really isn’t common. Of course Jo isn’t bitching because he won and was expecting there to be a battle. It’s for the championship after all. The Levi situation is totally different. It’s a mid pack rider taking out the back2back smx champ, mx champ, and sx champ who is the points leader and heavy favorite on the very first lap. Is this hard to understand? 😂

So to disprove my comment you're telling me that Deegans actions were ok. It's for a championship after all, and Levi's moves were not ok because he's not as important as Haiden 😂 You're right about one thing, common SENSE really isn't common.

Not exactly what was said.....Steve said he speculated that was the plan with the 5 point penalty.  If they managed to get Jo out they could win even with the penalty.  This was not confirmed by STAR, all rumor.  Sounds legit though based on Deegan antics, even is STAR was not involved

I like Kitchen but his takeout on Deegan, running across ruts WFO straight into the side of him was borderline attempted murder.

Serious injury could’ve happened from that, and we are getting upset over Deegan smacking his shrouds into Jo a couple times? Wow
