It’s not broken, when the championship wasn’t in play anymore, the “injury” gives him the time to miss nations, get on the 450 and come into 26 SX with no expectations for “a learning year” proper WWE shit tonight

He sure is fast but I've never liked the kid. Hes a fake, manufactured personality punk. It's a shame because i genuinely think he's the fastest 250 rider right now. He should just let his riding do most of the talking. Like Jo.

Karma finally caught up to him. Hopefully for his own sake this humbles him.

Yes, you're absolutely right, I've noticed that before. When he's riding among riders at the same speed, he's just looking around for ways to take them out. The AMA has lost my respect by allowing him to continue with this idiotic behavior. A five-plate penalty only has financial consequences; it makes no sporting difference. These images are going viral worldwide as bad publicity for the sport. What if Jo hadn't won the title because of this behavior? I can just picture the lawsuits.

Just goes to show, just cause you are fast on a bike does not mean you are a good person. I was never a fan of Brians antics growing up during the X games era and never really cared for his son either when he turned pro. Unfortunately thats the way he raised him and the games they play.

Not only did he lose the championship, but he completely let down his country for des nations. Hes already on probation so I hope J Bone and the rest of the AMA take their time and really think about how they are going to discipline him, cause that was bush league right there

The Deegans will be a pain in the ass for this sport for years to come. Whether Haiden is a 450 success or not.

Not that it really matters, I would ride whatever bike I like best but I am really glad I switched from Yamahas to Hondas. With Eli leaving and Deegan being the main Yamaha rider, the vibes are much better and classier under the red tent these days.

I agree but you can blame RC as well.

He has spent years on TV condoning, laughing off, and even promoting illegal dirty riding EXCEPT if the victim is a member of his team or Monster sponsored.

LCQ, Championships, whatever its dirty and against the rules. RC condones it because he was dirty at times during his career AND he owes Monster a lot since his riding career ended.

All this has filtered down into our sport.

Kitchen is the villain.

Had Kitchen not crossed 2 or 3 ruts to take out Deegan, Jo wouldn't have been 10 points ahead going into the final.  It's not Jo's fault, and he admits that he was gifted the 10 point advantage.  It wasn't a racing incident, and yes, Kitchen has one coming, which he admits.

Like him or hate him, Deegan earned the red plate by his riding throughout Sx, Mx, and Smx, fair and square.  Kitchen interfered with a championship in which he wasn't a contender.  It would've been different if he was.  Most racers at least state that they're don't do this.

I don't like Deegan slowing down to try to get Shimoda to drop back a few positions, but I can understand why he felt justified.

There are no asterisks.

Congrats to Jo.

And Levi has one coming, most likely when he least expects it.

What you’re missing is that Levi took HD out because it’s HD. That’s why all the best riders quickly learn to stay out of trouble and race forwards. If you make enemies they will come back to bite you at the worst time. This was absolutely HD’s fault and Karma got him.
Not the racing I wanted to see. He needs to learn to be less of a dick. Disgusting and embarrassing display from him. Jo Shimoda deserved the win.

Because he's HD?  That's a lame excuse.  I don't remember Deegan taking out Kitchen, or many others, except when it's for a championship.  He's not Barcia, Anderson, or Friese.  Not even in the same category.  He talks crap, but mostly races clean.

He has pushed enough buttons on and off the track so the other riders have had enough.

I have always said that he is a shit head like his father but held his racing pretty high and for the amount of passes he makes he have raced fairly clean.

But after some unnecessary things like Shock and the Davies incident it has been hard to defend him on track, and now he went full retard and showed his true colors on track to just like he behaves off track.

It never really looks like there is a lot going on behind those eyes.  Like his 3 brain cells are always pointing at each other, just like the Spider Man meme.

I hope one day he can realize he is one of the fastest riders, and overcome the boneheaded thoughts that always seem to win out.  But as his ego grows with every coming year, I am not hopeful that he will mature in any way shape or form for the foreseeable future. And the AMA will do absolutely nothing

Now you see why no factory teams would touch Brian and he had to leave for FMX. He got lucky it was new at the time and definitely worked out for him, but if he came out 5 years later he would just be a country fair side show…

Hint: Stop being RC

You CANNOT purposely take out another rider. Championship or not. Deegan got a penalty for a reason.

Yes a few have gotten away with it but thankfully the AMA has possibly turned a corner and started penalizing for it.

Thought it was pretty amusing! Deegan is the best rider in the class but ran out of options

Made for great entertainment and exciting racing. I was cackling with laughter when he sort of double backed lol, wild

That was a bad look for Deegan, an even worse look for the AMA.  That was ridiculous.

Go watch MX2 Finale and compare Kay De Wolfs actions to Deegan’s. Not saying Deegan’s were good, but at least slow speed fuckery.
KdW took out Simon Längenfelder at speed after multiple attempts in M1. But in M2 karma struck and KdW bike gave up handing the championship to  Längenfelder. By comparison Deegan is a poorly executed clown show and KdW is an assassination but somehow I still like KdW. Maybe for the same reason I like Barcia who has more takeouts than premier class wins. Deegan’s trash talk gives him very room to ride like he did. But it did bring out the best in Jo, so at least there is that.

No wonder Deegs didn’t want to race nations the last couple years, those boys aren’t messing around

To be honest, his attempts were so blatant that I wish the AMA would suspend him for the first 3 races next season.

Such a strange response... Why even defend him? Does it hurt you personally that people are calling out Deegan's absolutely abhorrent behavior?

These types of replies seem like a reflection on society as a whole these days. Everyone so attached to their "guy", their "team", etc. Oh,  you're saying my guy did something shitty? That feels bad, can't be true, I will now lash out, then retreat into my echo chamber(s) and bring more ammo to the next argument.

Already see the "Fans are so soft these days" defenses everywhere. Followed by blatant lies like racing was way more hardcore in the 80s and 90s. Even saw something like RC, Stewart, Reed all did "way worse". Nah, no one did this kind of stupid shit.

Face the facts. The guy you've emotionally invested yourself in fucked up. Own it and move on.

That one burned...............but the truth hurts.

I’m still a fan! Seriously last week he gets put on the ground by Levi and that was dirty. Deegan puts Joe on the ground and that was dirty. Deegan payed the price with a broken collarbone. This sport has moments of controversial riding for sure. You have to admit that it was entertaining.💯 😂

Yes in the first few corners it was entertaining I give u that. Then it went to "ok thats deegan haha so stupid but expected 😃", to "ok thats a little too much 🤨", to "what a clown 🤡", to "Somebody get this man off the racetrack already", to "wow thats embarrasing"

U know it’s probably not entertaining anymore when even the broadcast team cringes so hard that they go silent for a minute, and thats with Weege who’s usually there to hype up every situation its literally his job

Best race of the season. Deegan, a true showman. And Joe was so gutsy to stay on the pace the whole race. This moto will remain iconic thanks to Deegan’s wildness and Joe’s courage.

Dont forget thunder valley 2023, Hunter was way faster than him and he did quite a few friese like brake checks until Hunter had enough

It will be a video for parents to show your kids how NOT to act.  Joe stole Deegan's bunny wabbit so he's going to throw a fit until he gets it back.

As a Deegan fan, he is a complete moron. Even from the very first move he tried to make on Jo, I then said F it, I hope Jo takes it and I’m glad he won. Just watch, now with this broken collar bone they’ll say screw MXoN, screw defending a title, and just go right to a 450 at A1….where he will get humbled beyond belief lol.

It's a tough call for AMA to make but they should have black flagged him. I'm not sure exactly where that line is but I'm sure Deegan crossed it and then some. He was clearly no longer trying to race his race. Kinda happy the way it ended.

And RC needs to go. This is the crap racing you get when you say "anything goes for a championship ".

The officials also need to do some explaining why Deegan was not black flagged after so many blatant attempts to take out other riders.

I have been watching pro motocross for over 50 years and this might be one of the worst displays of unprofessional, dangerous and dirty riding that I have seen.  Deegan should lose his AMA license for a full year. In spite of his talents, I am not sure why any team would want him going forward.  He reminds me of Jason Lawrence.. unbelievable talent, but his emotional intelligence is so low. Too low to be a true champion. He may have just sidelined his career.  I can't even fathom what he was thinking.. was he angry about something and having a childish melt down or did he think that was a legitimate strategy as a professional racer?  Neither makes enough sense.

Anyway, so glad Jo Shimoda won it.. couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.

Do all of the flaggers have a black flag or is that only at the finish line?  My assumption was that if they were going to do it then it would have been at the finish line of the lap he was on when he crashed, but I could be way off.

I think that they would have talked for a bit about a black flag because  it’s a pretty stiff punishment, especially for a championship contender. Most people think that they pulled it out too easily/quickly in the Reed incident, so they probably didn’t want to have a repeat of that.

But I definitely think that his repeated actions warranted being black flagged.
