I’m really not seeing how that little airline bottle of Fireball is considered a selling point? “Need a quick snort to take the edge off and get your day started? Fireball has you covered!”

You are missing the point and it’s apparent lol.

But yes the racing was great tonight, so was last week.

I never said I hated it — I said AMA isn’t the undisputed pinnacle, and everyone jumped down my throat for it. Now I’m watching this so-called ‘world championship’: half-empty stands while Ricky calls it ‘huge,’ a boring 250 class, and a semi-retired German walking into 2nd. If pointing that out is ‘trolling,’ then maybe it’s just easier for you to shout me down than admit the cracks are obvious

He was second out of turn 1 in the 2nd race. Dafuq you talking about?

I definitely don’t hate it, I just don’t really like how it’s hyped up as an equal or better championship than SX and MX. it’s one helluva payday for the entire field, but that’s about it.

Whatever reasons there are to dislike this series are not anything I’m going to worry about. I’m just enjoying the racing.

Yeah, I dislike how it’s advertised but that’s just noise. The actual product has been awesome.

It’s like when Jett was the talking point 24/7. It made people dislike him but that doesn’t discredit his talent. I hate how they advertise this series but it creates a really fun finale to the year of racing.

What am I full of shit about?

I’ve said before that “Super Duper Motocross” (fueled by Monster) is not the pinnacle of the sport. I’m open to being proven wrong—but last week’s race was an absolute shambles. People keep claiming non-US riders can’t cut it, yet here we are: two Australians have dominated every American in this so-called pinnacle series, a German came straight off the couch and took second, a Frenchman won the 250 class today, and a Japanese rider is leading the charge for the 250 “Super Duper World Super Motocross” title.

If you think he’s deliberately trolling, then why are you reacting. I’m sure Beeby would have shut up by now without your ‘combative’ replies. It’s very hard to have a one person argument.

I’m not a troll—far from it. I watch every single moto of every single race. What frustrates me is the idea that this is considered the pinnacle. To truly crown a world champion, we need every top rider from around the globe racing every type of track, in every corner of the world. Dealing with travel and time zones and cultures and different foods and delays and all it takes to be the best. Not just who performs best in the same perfectly air-conditioned stadiums (or risk cancellation for some rain) And don’t even get me started on this triple-points gimmick.

Beebs...I don't remember seeing anyone on the board jumping on the "pinnacle of the sport" hype train.  The only reason most said, "Well, ok I guess" is because it offered pretty good payouts to the boys...which I think we can all agree is a good thing.

Just because the talking heads have to use all that superlative hype doesn't mean we believe it.  I suspect there's a bit of MXGP bias in you comments and vice versa.  And that's ok.  It's hard to know the answer to that since they don't line up together.  I suspect the boys up front in both series are pretty dang close.

And just so you know...the Lawrence's race our Nationals so they are ours.🙃

Beeby, I would have to assume that you do know that the US has multiple time zones within the country. If that is part of your criteria then the AMA can check that box. I also feel that holding races in the far corners of the earth does not constitute a more valid "world" championship. Did they have amy Chinese riders on CF motos battling up front yesterday at the GP?
