Do they test for EPO right now.. what are the chances the top guys are taking it? I’m giving minimum 50 percent chance.

Based on what?
I thought this was going to be a discount code, disappointed.
I'd say more like 49.7% and I'll argue that to my grave!
For us mortals not in the market for EPO, you'd be surprised how much help a daily supplement of slow dissolving iron is.

You spelled suppository wrong. Guys, i'll second. Go get a sow dissolving iron suppository. It'll change your life.
Who cares if they're on EPO? I hope so. Makes the racing better, and safer by reducing fatigue induced crashes. Theres a bigger chance of paralyzation than complications from doctor supervised EPO admin.
Ha! Well I haven't gone the suppository route, but the slow fe iron pill does a good enough job getting my iron levels right.
C'mon man, it's all suppositories these days.
So we’re not talking about healthcare……..!
Within 6 posts someone in this thread is up an ass..
This place is mind blowing sometimes…
100% me right now. 👍
Lots of butthole talk around here lately.
With today’s technology, trainers understanding it better, and the way they test, it’s almost impossible to catch someone using EPO.
And you 50% chance is about 50% to low. A lot of guys are using it.
Pretty sure Prado is on EPO.
Entertaining any Potential Offers
Can someone give me the rundown on this iron supplement talk? And are you guys really running it up your back doors for real..?
I don't get why a man would need an iron supplement, women need it do to their menstrual cycles. Whenever I get blood testing done, mine sinks like a rock. My wife who's on iron supplements, pills not suppository, and her blood floats in the same test.
EPO and iron have clued me in on 2/3 of whatever the hell this shit is. I got Erection and Performance , what does the O stand for 🤷♂️.
I wonder what Lyle Alzado would think about this ?
No. Thats a joke.
Iron is only good if you're low on it. Buf if you bleed a-lot and/or are vegan you might be.
If you have a deficiency of Iron (or any imbalance of minerals) it will reduce your overall cellular function.
Iron is tricky because many people that test LOW actually are low in Copper. Copper is necessary for Iron to be absorbed and used, otherwise the iron will be captured from your blood and stored in tissue (which is why blood test shows low iron). Accumulating Iron in your tissue will lead to fatigue, muscle soreness, rashes/immune overreactions,..... basically cell oxidation leading to worse health outcomes.
Most people have diets higher in Iron than Copper, which is why the Low Iron misdiagnoses is fairly common.
Iron: As part of the hemoglobin molecule, iron is vital for healthy blood; iron also forms an essential part of many enzymes. Iron deficiency is associated with poor mental development and problems with the immune system. It is found in eggs, fish, liver, meat and green leafy vegetables. Iron from animal protein is more readily absorbed than iron from vegetable foods. The addition of fat-soluble vitamins found in butter and cod liver oil to the diet often results in an improvement in iron status. Recently, researchers have warned against inorganic iron used to supplement white flour. In this form, iron cannot be utilized by the body and its buildup in the blood and tissues is essentially a buildup of toxins. Elevated amounts of inorganic iron (most supplements) have been linked to heart disease and cancer.

Exactly.
I smoke that shit
Very interesting. Thanks for giving me something to puddle around on when I’m bored. I’m not even sure what some good sources of copper are. I know some people get into eastern medicine and start using copper and make themselves sick so all I really know is that it’s a balance.
In short, Iron promotes red blood cell growth. That's the whole point of EPO but on a grander scale(hence faster recovery, and more for these elite athletes who basically wreck themselves each weekend)
A little iron supplement helps if your a little low. The copper suggestion is one I'm interested to learn more on.
You can come up with statistics to prove anything. 40% of all people know that...
That would be EAPO. You can’t just remove a word to make an acronym work.
NASA would like to have a word with you.
What does USA stand for?
Good point. We need to change that.
I’m no “ know it all “ but I raced MX to a pro level back in the ‘80’s / early ‘90’s in the UK then raced bicycles to Pro/1 level in France & Australia in the ‘ 00’s .
That in mind and knowing what I do I don’t really see EPO providing enough upside in MX to risk getting caught. Steroids, HGH etc etc yes I could see that but artificially bumping your hematocrit levels in MX?
I know it means you can beat the shit out of yourself and recover like magic but MX beats your body down differently to cycling ( nearly every pro cyclist I knew back then was on it ) but there are other recovery aids that wouldn’t see you get banned if caught .
I will also add that I know a few ex cyclists ( here in the US) that loved to juice in their racing days and that became trainers for several pro MX guys . These ex cyclists mindsets were “I don’t care what it is if it MIGHT help stick the needle in” so with that mentality….
The number of retired pros admitting that they ran big bores to compete is pretty high and at the same time unsurprising. I don’t think we will have retired top tier guys admitting it, but if we found out a handful were using PEDS I bet it wouldn’t feel all that surprising.
