Status update from Christian Craig: "Just wanted to give everyone an update on what I’m doing. I have asked and have been granted an early release from my two-year contract with Star Racing Yamaha. I’ve had a lot of great memories riding blue, including winning a 250 SX Championship together. Thanks to everyone for the support and I will update you on my future soon."
Well there's always the no show job at daddy 'n laws construction company.
Moto cross's version of Robert Kubica.
Deano is racing Australian Supercross, sounds like Justin Brayton is coming out of semi-retirement to race alongside him.
Craig would likely be on Yarrive's WSX team, alongside Joey Savatgy. (McElrath and Connolly for SX2 in that series)
WSX makes way more sense for the 28 at this stage. Good paycheck and will help bolster the series with another former 250 champion on the card.

Dude probably just wants to race.
Would like to see him on the Firepower team in American SX for 2026. Good spot for him.
No chance he ends up on CDR?
I thought he was going to fill in for CW2 for some nationals. Anyone know the scoop why that didn’t happen? I get the feeling the Craig just wants to get out and race.
I think so.
What was the plan for Star and Craig anyways? SX only and helping out Deegan (or their 250 riders in general?) which didn't work out obviously or was the plan for him to actually race the whole SMX championship initially?
CDR only doing Aussie SX Series this year
Then he probably should just go do that. I’ve never seen someone squander their 450 career as much as he has. I swear he signs deals that prevent him from racing or something.
Stark is looking for riders for wsx…
I’m so confused.
The team approached Bobby Regan & said “Craig wants out of his contract” & Bobby goes “our forklift driver? Cut em loose”
lolllll just cracking jokes. I think it’s a wise move on Craig’s part. I can’t imagine racing American sx for Star is going to pay any dividends running mid pack.
Didn’t even know he rode for them
Hang up the boots, enjoy your beautiful family and maybe race some vet stuff & LL…
Cool, happy for Christian.
Nice to see guys like him, Wilson, hell even Brayton still having fun racing and making a few bucks.
I wish him well.
Pit Row
That’s cool, but man, a guaranteed paycheck from Star would be hard to pass up. Maybe Craig wants to race some more which is cool. I mean, he’s pretty healthy and looked good in SX.
This frees up space and $ to keep Eli on BluCru since things have shifted with Prado going to back to Peirer/Bajaj.
Good for him and good luck in wsx and next year. Figured he has 1 good year left and will give him the chance to race.
Triumph?
Trainer/ man friend for Prados comeback tour….stamp it…..
Expendable. DangerDouche didn't need him anymore.
He’s racing WSX.
First rumour was he’s racing for Craig Dack as they wanted rider to stick it to Yarrives Team…
Now it’s he’s going to Yarrives team 😂
Either way, good for Craig’s career.
If WSX was around before, we could of seen so many greats continue racing instead of retiring at 27
I would take this photo as Yarrives team for WSX then to Phoenix Honda for 2026
I'd say the more likely meaning of that photo is the butt patch covered up by the comment tab. It looks like a sticky note from one of his kids saying "Never EVER give up Dad!!!"
seriously. he thought ppl would forget about this?
Keefer is Triumphs test rider, I think he’s going to Triumph, especially because Coker works there, and they are related.
I listed where he’s going above.
