You’re delusional if you think he can’t absolutely wax RJ and AP. You’re telling me RJ and AP could go win a MXGP title?

Agreed. People can't get it into their heads that this Kawi Prado is in no way representative of how good he is. That old cosplay redneck AP would have nothing at all for a GasGas world championship years Prado.

Next year teammates Juju and Prado hanging together allready. Seems like Prado wants to hint leaving Kawasaki openly.

You mean the two cherry picked sessions out of 22 sessions for the season...those lap times?....he averaged over 4 seconds off and averaged above tenth place in qualifying over the season.....Is this what you expected from a reigning MXGP champ? Apparently the engine builder for Kaw expected more effort from a champion....

How do you think the internet would respond if he goes out and beats everyone? I don’t think he will at all, but I could see the entire podcast scene go wild for it. Would definitely put a stamp on one of the wildest seasons / silly seasons ever.

As for "MXGP version", we are generally led to believe that MXGP 'Factory bikes' aren't much different. Of course if is stated otherwise you have an issue where at events like MXDN certain riders benefit from true factory bikes while other top riders are on true production based bikes. Not a level playing field. If, for this MXDN, Prado thinks he needs his factory spec Austrian bike, I wonder how beneficial that is over the production based 'factory bike' the AMA riders are riding?

Herlings proved at Ironman there’s no difference between MXGP bikes and US bikes.

A few years ago, Desalle did pretty well on a US Suzuki also, and he wasn’t even using his own forks that he shipped over but couldn’t use.

EVEN if Prado is going to be a better guy on the Austrian bike, do we believe that after a year away from it he can jump aboard and be straight up to ‘elite’ speed? I don’t…

It’ll take him a few weeks to readjust back to it & build that elite speed. It won’t happen just like that.

The fact is even if his KTM / Gas Gas bike isn't any better than his Kawi, he will default do better because he will be trying the whole moto and not just a few laps to prove a point. So if he does better I don't think you can take much from it and say oh the Kawi is bad.

I expect him to have dropped plenty in race fitness. Testing in the weeks and riding around in motos doesn't exactly build when the others hang it out for 30+2. If you don't push during races, you need something else, and testing ain't it I can tell you from own experience.

If he can run upfront, for 10-20min without people flying by, it's there. Then he just need to continue to build.

Let's hope the weather is decent so we don't get a mudder.

Oh come on now when did George qualify the same as Jett, Hunter and Eli? Southwick? his average qualifying time differential was 4.033 seconds off and his average qualifying position was 10.36 with a best of 4th twice. With an average qualifying time over 4 seconds off and an average qualifying outside of the top 10 is definitely NOT qualifying the same lap times as Jett, Hunter and Eli....or even JCoop....Are you in politics by any chance? You seem to have more spin than most....

Why are you saying George? Is it just funny to you or something? Seems childish and makes you look unintelligent.

There are dozens of pages on Prado’s future, but the “I’m gonna show them all at MXON” clearly is now not one of those. Maybe points to regret in moving to US, unwillingness to ride the Kawi there or break contract and ride KTM, all of the above?

Whether he likes the Kawi or not, having as much time on it including the SMX, he’ll start getting used to it. Then It’ll be time to switch again. Granted the KTM is solid and proven, but it’ll be another adjustment 😏

The US kawi team never supports MXON right? Sounds like they are keeping on the team at least until after mxon. That is probably a good plan for kawi. No chance of going faster on the ktm if he isn’t at the race. It could also mean he is still racing for kawi next year.

I think it’s easy to forget how long ago those races were. Herlings racing Ironman was over 8 years ago. Desalle raced Unadilla 15 years ago.

Are you saying the gap between GP bikes & US bikes has gotten bigger in that time period?

why would that be the case?

So I guess this MXoN will be the last one for Chase Sexton for as long as he’s with Kawasaki?

Roger’s departure may change that.
