Honestly I think he would have gotten it this year also if it weren’t for the leg.
Exactly!!
Beast mode started on the KX when he was turning his fastest lap times at the end of the moto and smoking the field. Some on here have a short memory of what Eli did on the Kawi. He was a winning machine on that bike. Comparing Prado to Chase and Eli is an insult to them.
That was the last gen bike tho. I feel the current is inferior to the last.
Yaa I think A1 his buckle broke, maybe not 2017, but he did tuck a front and then break his buckle at one of the A1 races on a kawi.

That was 2018. Then in 2019 he hurt his back in December
Prado quit trying so many times, it is embarrassing. That is the issue to me...and apparently with many at Kawi. As it should be.
I hope Eli wins next year, but doubtful...he is just too old now. Fact of life. 3rd-5th guy. I do think he could have won SX this year if not for the injury.
Outdoors??
We have to keep an open mind that a bike can be good at one discipline, but bad at another.
Maybe he created a New phrase . Once fast never fast again.
You’re right, this current gen has won very little in or out.
I don't understand your argument, my point was Kawasaki should have ended this as soon as they could. Is your point that I am mistaken and Kawasaki should prolong this public drama? Honest question.
Prado had shoulder surgery at the end of January and was back riding in April. He says he is fit and hasn't said counter but any chance he is masking a nagging shoulder problem? Is his previously injured shoulder compounding comfortability on the bike? @ML512
Been thinking the same.
KTM usa has a rear shock fade issue but KTM europe dont.
KTM had the weird brake issue too.
Dont think its going to get any better and throw in SX racing with big whoops.
Also who will the second Kawi rider be next to sexton?
His point is, maybe the Kawasaki race team DOESN’T have the money to sack him off.
They could ask KHI, but KHI have given them a budget to spend- now deal with it.
I think Eli sat up and just rolled when he realized title wasn't coming. I know plenty of guys in cycling that were pro elite fast till past 35 in endurance sports. I think Eli is one of those genetic freaks based on his parents and past performance.
No reason to get injured on a bike thats disappearing in a few months. But I could be totally off base. It's a guess and biased to what I want to see.
I think KTM has a good year next year, Prado, Tomac, and AP, while Chase - bless that dude - continues his up/down struggles on a different color.
But man - Im a racer. I want to see everyone healthy, bikes dialed, and clean gnarly dogfights every moto.
At this point, if it will cost them more to cut him loose than keep him, why not just wait until Chase joins the team to make him look like a squid? He’ll probably just leave on his own at that point. I can 100% promise that a healthy Sexton would never finish outside the top 10.
Kawasaki doesn’t want to end it cause then they have to pay him. They want Prado to quit.
They would just agree to mutually part ways. Kawasaki could probably fire him for cause at this point anyway. Zero chance Kawasaki has to pay anything to Prado at the separation.
If Prado goes to KTM and is a regular podium guy in 2026, none of this will even be remembered much after a while.
One thing you know for sure is that if he is on KTM next year, his effort will be off the charts to do well. There will be no quit in him.
Pit Row
As per a few podcasts
Kawi is keen to move on from Prado but Monster is the sticking point.
Shut up with your offended. No one is offended. It's as overused a word as "outraged" has become.
We're just not buying Prado's line of BS. He's shown no ability or willingness to fight through the issues. He just gives up. THAT offends me. Even as a never was, never will be, I didn't quit when I was getting beat. I rode slow as quickly as I could and tried.
I WOULD like to hear something from the team tho. Who's the boss there? Why the dead silence other than the motor guy. Or is it a fact that the factory team is still so rigid that they can't fix their own problems.
AC with a career ending busted arm put in more effort than Prado. Can't remember the overall results but they wouldn't have been far off. Pretty sure he never got a 17th?
Also you can bet your ass Chase isn't going to "cruising"around in 15th blocking rooster with hands. He'll be fighting hard no matter what
So, you are offended you say? Or, you are No One, like from GOT?
He should have a bunch more titles on Kawi too
It would be soo kawi to kick the tires on CC28. They have a penchant for riders with bad arms.
I haven’t read everything, but keep reading the same stuff over and over without mention of the obvious-
Seems like himself and the team are in disagreement with bike setup or Prado is insisting the bike is dangerous which will not allow him to push. So he’s putting in laps on race day doing the bare minimum so he gets paid. Staying healthy, extending his career by a season and hopes to get dumped to switch teams. Have I missed a “journalist” interview the race team manager lately? Boy I think that would clear up a lot. Let’s ask about his contract details.
I’m not sure what SX results on the previous model Kawi have to do with the current bike in outdoors?
But maybe that’s just me…..
This is nice and all, but the beer belly boys on vital said Eli is old so case closed😂 now we just need Eli to log on here so he can learn his winning days are over too.
I understand that friend, my point was corporate image is immeasurable. I owned a business as well, certainly not multi-billion, nor multi-national. Yet I always told my employees it takes a lifetime to build a reputation, yet only a moment to destroy it. Destruction of a corporate image doesn't have to be publicly unanimous, ala Ford Pintos or KTM 790s, there just needs to be an under tone to start a narrative. KHI should have cut this bad image loose despite budgets, and put Harrison on the scooter or some other appreciative rider. Prado's issues will haunt this brand for years.
This remains to be seen. I’m not convinced after his performances this year that next year will be any different. One thing I am looking forward to, is seeing this drama end. Either way…. If he’s Fire next year, it will end…. I he come out and it’s more of the same as this year, it will end. I honestly hope it’s Fire!
The only two national overalls that Anderson has came with team Kawi. He never won an overall outdoors on a Husky.
Post a reply to: Jorge Prado "It was a very tough season to say the least. Cruising around every single race..."
