Isn't Wilson on the Factory Honda though? No way they don't bring him back unless the other teams are offering more money.
dam, even worse look for georgy boy
DeanO is on Yarrives Quad Lock Honda team that Savagty and McElrath ride for, h just filled in for them because everything fit well. Yarrive/his team let DeanO take the opportunity and didn’t hold him to his contract, that probably gave them more kudos from the factory Honda guys for the future as well.
That would be good for him, WSX, AusX, and SX. This year was weird for him, he went from being signed to ride outdoors, to being a full in guy if someone got hurt (Webb), then never filled in. I wonder if Deegz gave him the cold shoulder and so did the team? Either way I feel Craig would do the same on a Quad Lock bike or a factory Honda, so the Quad Lock squad would be a good move imo.

Okay yeah that's actually awesome of Yarrive/Team/Honda. I did see AusX announced Wilson returning but didn't mention on what bike.
Sound like good points, except that it happens in other professional sports with much more transparency.
Of course the teams can set up whatever contract terms they want and maintain whatever level of disclosure they want but these days the level of secrecy is outdated. Before widespread media coverage and the advent of social media it may have made sense; now it only looks amateurish when everyone knows and the last people to say anything are the teams themselves.
Who is Kawasaki looking at to replace Prado? Marchbanks, Harrison, Guillod, maybe Shimoda?
Depends on what rumors you believe but Kenny has been brought up, maybe they try to retain Jason, and I've heard maybe an offer to Jo so who really knows
Not a huge sexton fan but for some reason i think he's gonna do well like tomac on the kawi.
So Craig trying to get outta his contract to be Wilson’s teammate? He’s the only one that would make sense.
That’s what I thought too because Matthes made a Brett Favre reference and on the AC/JB podcast this week AC kept poking at JB asking him why he’s been riding so much lately and if he was getting ready for something.
I don't think he'd have to "try" very hard to get out of his Star contract. His brother is gone and Deegan doesn't need/want him anymore.
Tomac was instantly faster on Yamaha.
I don't. I think it's a disaster waiting to happen. Just ask Prado, Weimer, Millsaps, Reed, Prado, Ando.
RV, though…
I’m still scratching my head why he’s leaving KTM? They seem to be able to pay their riders.
If I was Craig, I would be cashing checks while I still get them and getting OUT of a contract is the last thing I'd be trying to do.
JA has plenty of podiums on the KX. He was even faster than Prado this year until he had to quit. And JA ain't as fast as he used to be.
Sexton is not Jake Weimer lol. Rough comparison
Chad was fast in 2014 on green
Pit Row
But not as good as on the previous generation KX. I think it's undeniable that the US team hasn't figured out the current gen bike. Combine that with their history of being conservative with bike development and you have critical offseason coming up.
Sexton is seemingly one of the more demanding (demanding a lot of the team) riders in the pits at the moment and he wont go easy on them if the bike is off and there isn't any major progress during the season. They need to learn and get better from the shitshow that has been 2025.
Sexton will be easy for the team to handle after Prado 😉
If we've learned one thing from this Prado fiasco it's that the Kawi team will bend over backwards to test and help their rider. Who knows, there may be things that are off limits but by all reports they were working around the clock to text and develop the engine package for him to get comfortable on.
Anderson had arguably his best year ever on Kawi
The KX450 has 12 US championships to its name. I believe that is the most of any of the other models (I think KTM/Husky are at 11?)
So maybe Kawi is doing fine setting the bike up and running a factory racing effort.
I don't think asking Prado would be very useful once, let alone twice.
Not sure about that… we will see.
So..
Kawi - Sexton, ?
KTM/GG/Husq - Tomac, AP, Prado, Stewart
Yamaha - Webb, JCoop,
Zook - Roczen
Honda - Lawrences, Shimoda
Ducati - Barcia, Ferrandis
Shimoda 250s
450s:
Husky: Hampshire and Stewart 450, no GasGas
KTM: Tomac, Plessinger, Prado
Honda: H and J Lawrence
Yamaha: Webb, J-Coop and Deegan (outdoors only)
Suzuki: Roczen and Anderson
Ducati: Ferrandis and Barcia
Triumph: Smith and Haarup (outdoors only)
Beta: Bloss and Oldenburg
Kawasaki: Sexton and ? (I’m betting Marchbanks)
Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but is there any chance of JA21 popping up at an SMX race? Or any idea where he is at with his health?
JA was behind Prado after his last race at RedBud:
Prado won't be on a KTM...
