This is a random thought I just had. Is this the first year the brand hasn’t won a race in either class? I know they’ve obviously had some no win years in the 450 with various perfect seasons, but I recall there being some stat that kawi had won at least one race every year for 30 years in the 250 class after Jo Shimoda saved the day and won a race late in the season for them. Also when’s the last time Mitch has had a winless national season?
that stat was including SX that year, and no PC or Factory kawi rider had won sx, Kitchen and Hammaker won SX races this year,
Even suzuki won a race in 2025???
Kawasaki is in shambles..
It's clearly Prado's fault, nothing to do with Kawasaki.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Kawasaki also won the ‘25 VMXDN - Christophe Pourcel ‘02 KX250 😎
Kawasaki have never actually won the World MX championship either! Little known fact. (Top level 500cc, or 450cc). That might be all about to change, but Febvre is breaking under the pressure.
He said "Is this the first year the brand". Pay attention before being a smart ass.
Febvre is kickin a-s, though. Yeah, he had a tip over in the last one, but the racing is intense. Everyone in the GPs is battling for every spot. He’s making the bike work.
It’s not uncommon for a brand to go without winning a race.
You could probably say the same for Wilson Tennis racquets. Babolat, Head, and, Yonex have won just about everything. But Wilson doesn’t have Federer active anymore either. How long was it that Honda went without winning anything?
Not true.
The (now) 450 class was, the premier 250 two stroke class. The 250s became the ‘premier’ class around 1992/4 when the 500 class was dieing off.
Stefan Everts won the 1995 250cc (premier class) championship riding a KX250.
Tortelli won it in 98 on a kawi as well,
Febvre hasn't won much since jh84 return
…..but they won the Canadian National titlel and could very well when the MXGP title.
Prado finished 6th in the first year racing AMA Nationals! I bet most racers would be over the top to say they did that.
The Canadian National title shows the stock bike is capable, MXGP shows Kawasaki's full works bike is capable, US Kawasaki may be part of the issue.
That’s the difference between most riders and the elite. Prado clearly belongs in the elite category and something definitely held him back this year.
Look at Tony Cairoli, a retired 39 year old came over and put up similar results on a brand new motorcycle.
250 SX are Regional Championships not National.
See the ???? That means a question.... not so smart ass!!!! 😉
Neither did Yamaha and the class was saturated with blue and two very good riders and a bunch of decent privateers. They did get the manufacturers title for having so many bikes out there so there's that.

As far as Prado, it’s some of everything - the move to the US, the bike, the Team, etc.
I thought it was clearly Kawasaki's fault, nothing to do with Prado??
Why doesn't Kawasaki try harder???
Go & tell Broc Tickle & the team they don't try That is a joke saying they don't try
How high is the level in Canada? Phil was 11th last year in the US.
True Yamaha did not have an overall in the 450 class this year outdoors only moto wins and podiums. KTM group didn’t have one win in the 250 class either outdoors
