Exactly! And then to attempt to throw a race…Transparency is one thing but going out of your way to trash a team of professionals that have sacrificed everything to try and help him and he does that shit…if he races for Kaw again he is going to have a lot of work to do to get anyone on that team to support him, the engine builders response tells you exactly how the team feels and I can guarantee you he’s not the only one on that team that feels that way…
James never tried to sandbag a race by purposely not qualifying….but hey if you support that then you be you….
". . . neither has thrown in the towel"
Did you happen to catch Budds Creek?
Surely there's grounds for termination without blow-back if it can be proven that he deliberately tried to not qualify? You're consciously and deliberately sabotaging your employer. In a normal workplace that's instant termination?
I would have thought that sponsors can see the issue and would waive contract clauses, seeing the greater good in this instance of not having him out there.

I think Prado was trying to earn the number 61 without getting top 10 in total combined points this year guys, I’m pretty sure no one’s thought of that one yet!!!
He definitely talked his way into a corner. Now the pressure will be on him to do well on KTM next season. Not liking your bike is one thing, but publicly badmouthing Kawasaki (mechanics and crew) really shows his true colors. He would have been better off just keeping to himself and Kawasaki, because 6th overall in 450MX ain’t bad at all!
No one cares he roasts the bike. People care that he takes no accountability or responsibility. It’s now known he had nothing to do with setting up his de Carli bike. And doesn’t know how to develop one.
Kawasaki should work with him to develop the bike.
They obviously do and theres a reason Prado brought in Reed at one point to help him because he apparently does not know what he’s doing when it comes to setting up a bike for himself.
For Jorge to make that post and not even acknowledge that the team was trying is crazy. Oscar and some of the other team members spent weeks at clubmx trying to help him.
He’s a 4 time world champion with 49 wins and 24 years old. 6th overall in proMX isn’t good at all. Chase was out and Tomac wasn’t on par. It should have been an easy second place overall.
Reed literally quit on Kawi

So did Millsaps right?
My turn lol. First time ever posting on vital, cant wait to get shredded by all. As a long time (enter here), inside the ropes and outside. Everyone saying, take accountability first are looking for a hot take. Remember these factory riders are there own business, the team is ots own business. One is on the top, one is on the bottom and the truth is in the midddle. Also look back at similar instances. Reed on the Kawi, Stewart on the '10 and '11 yz450. In short, this has happened before. I think those 2 were champions if i Remember? Both killed themselves riding bikes that were unrideable. My hot take is that for Jorge to actually finish is beyond commendable. Yes, maybe he shouldn't of been so out spoken about issues. But I don't blame him, hes protecting his business. Maybe he should of meet up with Einstein barr. He's been m.i.a. for a minute, but he did not... He finished. Until someone does better on this Kawi, I will take his word. To think he quite because he couldn't break the top 3 is ridiculous. I've heard that as well. You think, he thought he was going p1 at Pala on his first race on the kawi... stop it. Leadership at factory kawi isn't the same as it was 5 years ago. The bike has been neutral in progression just like the crop of riders. Think of riders past, think of champions and the thin line between winning, illness?, or years of crashing.
STFU NOOB! Been awhile since I've seen that.
Your first is better than my last 😁
But yeah in my opinion, i am the same, the Kawi itself is not that bad bike - but for winning everything needs to click.
Prado and Kawi won't click, if they do not change the attitude.
Sexton is going to show Prado how it's done on the Kawi. He may not win anything, but he's not going to be wallowing in 11th place either. It takes two to set up the bike and I'm not sure Prado did his part.
They tried to this year but he only gives 70% on practice days so when he picks up the pace they probably have to guess his settings because he’s all of a sudden faster and the bike is reacting differently.
Anderson got a podium and 5 other top 5 finishes during last years outdoor season on this platform bike, and he isn’t exactly the outdoor warrior that Prados supposed to be. Anderson put this bike on the box in sx last year and this year as well.
Also Reed still won hangtown in 2010 on his Kawi and James probably won around 10 sx races on that 2010-12 Yamaha. Prado didn’t do jack on the bike he hates while Reed and Bubba still figured out a way to win on the bikes that they hated.
Pit Row
How’s he “protecting his business”. The best way for him to do that would be privately with kawy with some bullshit excuse and try and figure things out and claim something that doesn’t make him look like shit and where he doesn’t completely shit on Kawasaki. Yeah if I’m another team I want him as my rider. “If we miss the mark at all we will get shit on every day via insta gram post even if it’s him since a privateer can beat him on the same bike…”
Because I thought you meant that RV got injured when he was ahead in the standings of Febvre, believing they were teammates back then.
He left Gasgas when KTM almost went bancrupt and Lucas came to KTM. No GasGas lined up in MXGP in '25 so maybe the switch to US is somewhat forced. Going back in time it's clearly Jorge is not the mental strongest rider out there and team bosses know that.
He should get a chance on a Steel frame back in 26, but good luck with that when he throws his employer under the bus.
No, because they allowed him to quit.
Quitting means not racing. James didn't race, Prado did race. So Prado actually did more than James, who just chose to not show up.
Is it hard to get that in?
I'm kind of surprised KTM wants him. Are they going to field three 450 riders? We still dont even know how good of a sx rider he's going to be
Fact is though Jason quitted before prado, something is not right at kawi
Jason has health issues.
Meh, as the third guy they can afford a few 12-15s.
Do you remember the reasoning? I sure do, he was dealing with a crazy stomach virus that was lingering from the year before. Came back to the nationals won Hangtown, and the virus showed its head again. He has stated time and again, he couldn't sit and collect a check when he wasn't healthy. Later on, there were interviews and he included that he was never comfortable on the bike and that Kawasaki was extremely rigid with setup and that Kawi changed a few things after he left that were what he wanted changed.
Rule of thumb, do more homework than a quick link bait
Yeah, they'll use him as the guinea pig for new shock designs.
Prado aswell. Mental, that is.
I have commented earlier in the thread , but I might add, Bob "Hurricane Hannah bashed the Yamaha team endlessly when he was on the team in 81 and 82.
Went to Honda and he became relevant.
And Magoo Chadler hated team Kawasaki in Europe and asked him to take a dive. He quit. Very public at the time. Still was relevant.
I think this stuff with riders not hating on the team in the past is blown way out of proportion. Riders have aleays talked bad about teams publicly, just not in the social media age with a superstar.
He'll be back..
