I don’t know what else to say about the news emerging from this year‘s Loretta‘s, in particular the two young female warriors who have made a generational statement.
This has been such a painfully awesome year to be a motocross fan. Just a few weeks ago Jeremy Martin brought tears to my eyes with his unbelievable exit win. Just a few weeks ago we lost a generational talent. A circumstance that makes you really question what this nonsense is really about.
Here’s your answer. Two young ladies just made a monumental generational statement. What a time to be a motocross fan. This is such a special sport.

More details on the statements made? That picture looks like it is telling a story for sure

Awesome!
Callie Sutton (who finished 2nd in girls 11-16) races (and wins) the Supermini class at my local track regularly against the boys. I was pretty proud of my win in a race earlier this year until I looked at lap times and realized that Sutton was 14 seconds a lap faster than me! Those top level girls haul ass.

Raycin Kyler 65cc 10-11 Limited Champion and 9th in 65cc 10-11.
Yumena Berning:
2nd in 65cc 7-9 Limited and 3rd in 65cc 7-9.
Sweet! Thats pretty damn impressive, boy or girl.
Talk about punching above your weight! What a cool story. This sport is so cool, crazy how many records/firsts we have been seeing lately.
I watched both of these stories as they developed this week & it was great to see. Yumena Berning was thisclose to a win. She was on the rear wheel of the bike in front of her on the last corner/last lap.
And I guess if your parents are going to name you Raycin & you live in Brooksville Florida, you have the foundation for a motocross career.
It's going to be interesting to see how they do as the bikes get bigger.
You guys cry way too easy
There was a gentleman a few months back that didnt think a female could hold court racing against the guys.
Congrats to these you g ladies.
It's awesome. I have two bad ass daughters that regularly beat up on local boys in their ages at running and mtbing. Up until 13-14 many local girls are actually faster and better at many sports. Then puberty hits and they struggle to complete at the top levels. Will be interesting to see if these girls can stay competitive the next few years. Its amazing to see it a national level like this. I'm rooting for them!!!
Love to see it
Fox and Friends is a Mon-Fri show.
Fox and Friends Weekend
Negative on that. It’s on Sunday’s too.
It’s great that she won . I knew a girl would win on a smaller bike . Girls hv a lot better focus at a young age, they hv strong legs & hips . Look at the inconsistency in the top 10. Shysters must be going for it & making alot of mistakes.
Yep.
There's a reason female bodybuilders take synthetic test instead of estrogen. 😄
Pit Row
And Lotte Van Drunen racing the mx2 class at Lommel this weekend.
Crap. It wasn’t on when I looked. Bummed out I missed it.
I love watching the girls/women race. Wish they would bring WMX back to every National round like moons ago.
A lot of posts seem to have disappeared in here
My wife rides/races and has been stoked with the momentum women's MX has had the past few months between these young girls and the WMX gaining momentum its cool to see and looks like in a few years will be a very competitive class. Also Lala Turner is actually pretty insane to watch, with respect to the other girls she is on another level.
Im curious if any of these girls will switch to off-road, there is some money to be made for the top few girls racing and winning GNCCs.
Let's not leave out Hannah Jamison. 10th in moto 3 of Mini Sr 2 (13-15). And Girls 11-16 class champ.
Anyone have any thoughts about this (great) development and the introduction of stacycs? Without trying to sound insane, the stacycs I think are more acceptable across a broader range of parents as an activity for (very young) boys and girls.
Probably a factor. I put my son on a Strider when he was 2 and it made all the difference for him when he graduated to a PW. (Stacycs weren't around yet.) These little kids now are getting far more skilled by the time they are 4 than I was when I was 12.
EDIT: And to your point, I think you're right: it's very likely that many more parents of young kids are cool with an electric bike than a gasoline motorcycle, thus bringing a larger "gene pool," so to speak, into the sport.
When is Star Racing going to sign Lala Turner?? Seems like a no brainer to me
Agree 100% along with striders from a young age, basically never being on training wheels is the way to learn.
Scuttlebutt going around about this. You must have inside knowledge?
