It’s just, well, damn near perfect.
Like today’s observations on Jett and Deegan. He just nails it and is able to put his very descriptive perspective into words and phrases that anyone can understand. For young and old, alike, he’s easy to “get”.
I hope this continues.
He’s fantastic. I do wonder what a GL/JS7 combo would be like.
It's such a breath of fresh air to have someone with personality alongside Weege. I don't hate RC like a lot of people do, but I just love hearing Stew's analysis and flair. More Stew.
His style, his insight, his sense of humor, all add up to making him one of the best moto announcers we've had.
And without the tongue tied, know it all, talking head over in the SX booth.
And you can easily see that he's a fan of all these guys out on course.
It’s because he doesn’t get flustrated when he’s talking!!!
Sorry, I just had to.

I like his commentary, he just needs to work on saying “uh” so much
He was pretty flawless today on it. You could tell he's working on it during the week actually.
I really hope they bring him in the booth full-time for SX. He's been a breath of fresh air
Two thumbs up
I wasn't going to start the thread about this, but I'm glad you did. James does a darnn near perfect job on the mic. He's very funny in his unique style and he's calling the race from a rider's perspective. Sometimes he even corrects Weege when Weege gets over the top. The best part is he's very humble and even though other people try to get him to brag a bit he never does. That's pretty refreshing compared to some of the other racer hosts.
"George" was making me laugh out loud.
He's a natural - comfortable and knowledgeable, with a full injection of personality.
RC makes the listener uncomfortable with how forced it feels when on a live broadcast, which is a little strange, as when you hear him in a more informal setting on a podcast or as a guest, he's actually pretty good.
"You know weege, we were having a good flow today and you just had to..."
I was cracking up at that and the "and here comes that sneaky #2 with the Dad bod" reference to Webb. I don't find myself laughing much watching Moto but between Malin over on MXGP and Stew for outdoors. Ive been laughing quite a bit.
My favorite of the day, in the 250 class, Levi Kitchen was holding a line. James said something to the effect. "The Kitchen is Open."
I forget who Kitchen was battling but Stewart's advice to "throw the spatula at him!" was hilarious
James is absolutely crushing it. Everything he says makes me feel like I could apply it to my own riding (which isn’t true but that’s powerful) Weege is good at pushing him a half step when needed to really lean into an explanation. They are an amazing duo! I LOVE the commentary right now.
James “something funny and insightful”
Weege “yeah James and why is that exactly why would he want to….”
James “something funny and insightful”
Weege “a funny and insightful recap with a smooth transition into the next topic”
JS7 doing commentary reminds me of when James Hunt was calling F1 races. Brutally honest, very insightful and funny AF.
I can a fued building when James takes Ricky,s SX seat.
James is great commentating, very smart and insightful. Good for him!
Pit Row
He has great racing insight, is funny, natural, and complimentary to weege (and vice versa). I’ve been listening to race coverage since the 70s and I cannot think of a better team. What a pleasant treat to hear JS7 on the mic.
Edit: has there been a commentator that can have appeal to a new fan and also provide technical and technique insights that impresses the most die hard fans?
I could be wrong but I dont think he wants to call that many races.
The George thing has already stuck with my brother and me. When he crashed in the 2nd moto were saying "That was a George move!"
Lol
He said fustrated during the broadcast. Someone tell him there are 2 r's.
It's a southern thing, "flustrated". A combination of "flustered" and "frustrated".
Don't worry about it too much, it's a thing in the south.
It's not like there aren' words used that don't make sense that people are excepting.
Hilarious ,when he said when kitchen was behind Deegan at the beginning of the second moto. “ This is the first time Levi has seen Deegan since the riders meeting.”
Yep I lol’d
James is fantastic!
Me too…😂
Haha, he called Webb a 'dad bod'. Spot on James, spot on.
Speaking of Webb. Where are all the 'no-nothing about the sport' morons that had the temerity and outright gall to suggest Cooper Fat Fuck Webb could be in contention for the 450 outdoors championship?
This is going to stick to Jorge.
”who is going to show up today, George or Jorge? “Imagine the DMs he’ll get after a bad moto.
Odd, but I knew you were somewhere laughing when he said that. 😂
