Could not care less about who wins or what bike they’re on. I watch the races because I want to see a good battle.

I’ve had friends that raced, so obviously I would root for them, but aside from that, I don’t know any of these riders and my paycheck stays the same if they win or lose

Rider over team every time. I’m also a fan of Roger DeCoster wherever he works. Mitch too, so I guess there’s a PC team preference there, but it’s got nothing to do with the brand of bikes he runs.

I am more of an underdog fan, be it a rider or a team.

Coming back from adversity, or working up from a lesser place.

Have never been a fan of the dominate rider or team, but rather the ones that are fighting there way up to the top (or back to the top).

I'm a fan of the sport and pretty much everything that goes with it.

I'm not a fan of riders who can't beat thier competition. By having to pass them by taking thier wheels out from under them.

Always thought it was more of a statement of being a better rider. By passing them clean like they weren't there n pull away.

I tend to root for the old guys (Tomac and Herlings presently). Not the rider, not the bike. It ain't as easy riding the bull as you age, so I tend to favor anyone still willing to go out on that edge, despite all their war wounds and their growing awareness of the harsh reality of the risks. Youth be served, especially in our sport, but there's nothing quite like a grizzled vet who can still get it done.

I’m an active motocross racer, first and foremost.  I wouldn’t call myself a “fan” of professional racing, but it is more entertaining than most sports because the sport I love personally is on television.  I go to Supercross and the occasionally outdoor race, but I seldom go in the pits because I really don’t care to much about the “spectacle” of it all.  I’m there to watch racing.

My username tells it all.  Fan of the rider. Aside from Larry Ward, I like David Bailey, Johnny O'Mara, Bob Hannah, Jeff Emig, James Stewart,  Ryan Dungey, Hunter Lawrence, Haiden fuckn' Deggan, and as painful as it is to be a fan, Chase Sexton.

Became a fan of Donny Schmit and Trampas Parker when they took off for the grueling GP circuit.

Euro guys, I like Eric Geboers, David Thorpe, JMB, Stefan Everts, Jeffrey Herlings, and Kay de Wolf.

The bike is an inanimate part of the show and goes nowhere without the rider.....however both make the sport what it is. Thus, I AM a fan of the sport😊

Guys don’t forget to downvote the motocross related threads on the motocross forums.

Vitards will be Vitards.

It's like watching "The View" sometimes in this joint.

Always scratch my head when "good racing" is left off.

I'm a fan of good racing.

Some riders look good on certain brands. I'm a big Chase fan and he looked good on the Honda as the same with Roczen and now just doesn't feel the same even though its been 2 years and they ride very well on their new Teams. Eli makes the Yamaha look so good but was definitely a adjustment to see him not on a green bike and especially a when he goes to the orange bike.

I'm not sponsored by any team so I couldn't care less about the bike brand.    I follow the rider and just hope the new team and bike will work out for them.

My friend is more of a rider centric type of fan, in this case, he is an Eli guy and is bummed that Eli is likely moving to KTM but will still be pulling for him next season.

Myself, I tend to be more of a team or brand type of fan. I have been a fan of KTM since before the Kelly Smith, Donovan Mitchell era. So I get excited when the team signs someone like Dungey, Canard, Coop, Chase etc. I wasn't really a fan of Chases when on the Honda, and I actually despised Coop before he was on the orange bike, but became a fan while he was on it. I've kind of been a fan of Tomac for the past 2-3 years but will likely be even more of a fan next year.

Obviously there are riders I cheer or have cheered for for no matter the team, guys like Shorty, Deano, Chiz, MC, Windham, Wey, etc.

So where are you guys at? Does your allegiance typically follow a rider from team to team, or are you a die hard team guy and cheer for the riders when they join the team?

What type of fan are you? .... Danish / Candian !!!!!!

I'm a little of both. I'm a fan of riders, and that is amplified when they ride my brand of bike (Yamaha).

So, for instance - I wasn't really a Tomac fan, but I appreciated his talent. I've become a larger fan now that he's riding my brand, and I'll probably be slightly less a fan next year if he's on a KTM.
I'm not a big fan or hater of Deegan but I'll probably like him less if he moves to another brand.

Definitely a fan of the rider over the brand or team.  At the end of the day, I like to see good close racing though.  If every race is a blow out it gets boring even if I'm of fan of the rider who is winning.

I just want to see good racing and prefer that the winner not be a douche.

Riders mostly.  Nearly every manufacturer has done something over the years that annoyed me.

Rider 100%.

Growing up my favorite brand was whatever Jeremy McGrath rode. Now I don’t have a favourite brand. I was probably partial to Yamaha for the longest though.
