2 stories from back in the day when we used to sell 3 string bales to the public.

Big brother baled up some 3rd cutting timothy hay which the exporters did not want so we were selling it by the pickup/trailer load to whomever local. These 2 guys showed up in a flatbed truck...big truck. When the driver opened the door the empty box of beer dropped out. His buddy...a BIG guy...230lb+, hopped out the passenger side all ready to buck some fucking hay!

Big brother and I proceeded to work these sorry ass town guys to death.🤣 The big guy had no technique and thought each bale was a bench press where as i was using my legs and being 60lbs lighter was  making him look silly. 😉 They were breathing so hard!

Second story, and this one ...I feel a bit bad but it is what it is. When my regular buyer would kick out bales that were not up to snuff I would place an add in the local paper and sell the "kickouts" by the bale to locals. Quite often it was horse quality alfalfa but with a blemish or 2.

This woman answered my add and came out with her teen aged daughter...and her daughters boyfriend for a ton of hay ......Oh no!!!

I felt so bad!...., as it became obvious that the daughters boyfriend was supposed to be the hay buck to load the pickup. I am sure he was eager to prove his strength and manliness to his chick whilst bucking hay. Problem was...the bales were 130lbs and he must have been 125lbs. Poor kid couldn't do shit. sigh.

I loaded the ton of hay they wanted by myself, accepted payment but.... silently felt jealous of the young guy as I never had a girlfriend at age 15!

Screw that kid! 😆

Great stories @Sandberm656, the shit that molds ya! The smoking hot horse gals were a problem...I may have been the 15yr old kid haha.

I remember farmer Gerrys massive Ford diesel flatbed unexpectedly coming up the long driveway one time just as we had a whole smattering of napalm we mixed up on fire across some rail tracks in the gravel where he'd shuttle hay wagons. 15yrs old and for sure pissed myself a bit the way he came flying up and ripped us a new one. I legitimately felt bad on that one, it went out fine but we got lucky a lot of times looking back haha.

Hell we made a kids plastic kitchen thing explode and blew several holes in an above ground pool. Tried to plug em with the rubber subs you dive for and blame it on my buddy's little brother. We were hiding behind a thin piece of plywood 10-20ft away. Talk about adrenaline rush...that was the beginning of a fun fuckin summer.

The best thread hijacks happen here on this site.  LOL    Riots to forage production.  😆

Weve done it all.  Throw 'em by hand right off the ground,  elevators that attach to the side of the truck or trailer,  Kent Hay Mover (clone of the original DewEze design), grapples/Maxilator and now the bale bundlers  (21 bales per).    Just say no to hay hooks !

Its not like this "all illegals need to go" show wasn't tried before. Alabama did the same exact thing years ago and it was an economic desaster.

Oh no!!!

A desaster !!!

I am sorry you feel this way, it was not my intention.

Food for thought - instead of trolling other people with your drivel all day, go out and do something for yourself, or better yet, those around you, that is positive and meaningful. Something you might feel proud of and want to maybe even talk about with others, instead of attacking and trolling all day (from your woke ass position of privilege).

Here's more self serving shit...I'll be up at sunrise tomorrow to go hike up luge trail in Trabuco Canyon with my dog to continue the trim work I started a few weeks ago. I ride this trail all the time, so I benefit from it being trimmed. Thousands of other people in my community do too. Self serving? Sure, and it clears my mental cache beating the shit out of weeds for a few hours... But it benefits the community around me I care about, too. This is value engineering baby.

Be the change you want to be in the world. However, if this is is an example of what you are and want to instill on the world I take it back, cause it sounds like you suck. Have a good one brotha.

I'll get off my high horse...which is actually a tired yz250 haha.

But, what about the weeds? Don’t they have feelings?

Sorry…I just had to.

You are right! Except they don't have a voice, you should go out and peacefully protest on their behalf!

Look at me, the savage, decimating all these big, beautiful weeds.

Sorry, just had to haha.

The irony for me, all this stuff going on is doing a wonderful job weeding out the root cause issues in America, and a lot of them are domestically born.

Back before hay squeezes became popular i bucked a lot of hay to peak out a hay barn. These hay hooks may be older than me. It's a skill to buck hay, using your lower body and momentum, especially when we switched from 2 tie bales to 3 tie 130lb alfalfa bales.

It's a young man's game at that weight.

3 tie bales are the devils bale.  Damn things are not only heavy, but un balanced SOBs.  No wonder you don't  farm anymore 😂

A fearful underclass is good for business, it's why Dems were against illegal immigration back when they were good.

Freedom of speech is a beautiful thing. Freedom of speech got quite ugly the second it was able to hide behind online anonymity. We are now witnessing a generation enter to adulthood that has only known this online world.

I know a few Amish in PA that would happily hop in your truck for a ride, too.

Thanks California and the war on gas powered instruments. I am angry at the government, state and federal.

I'm a long time two stroke fella, though I do have a Honda 50 and 450, too. The one good station I went to in Orange for 100 leaded closed up a couple years ago.

These manual tools I'm using are a lot more effective than any electric Milwaukee though, so here I am...a law abiding citizen doing what I can within the increasingly more annoying guardrails that are being placed on us, trying to make the "Luge" trail sight line great again.

Wow. Talk about hypocritical verbiage…

The foolish reasoning you’re using as you’re assigning these behaviors to others…and…as usual…posting your usual silly bent political shit …is…defeating your own argument. Bro, go get a mirror.

The Kids Are Alright.

You, on the other-hand? Are not.

And, exactly WHAT qualifies you to question or quantify ANY-ONE-ELSE’S patriotism?

Her, have a fresh cup of GFY: My 18 year old daughter has you covered on all the fronts you’ve shit on with your post.

This Interwebsthingy is The Awesomest and you should just enjoy it.

My middle name is "Doyle" which hasn't made it easier...I get "Doyle rules" a lot too from Billy Madison haha.

I've had my ass whooped plenty of times. And I've gotten close to killing myself on a motorcycle plenty of times, too.

I have fond memories of High Point.

My dad surprised me with tickets to go out to HP national for my 16th birthday. We stayed at a hotel near the track and he went and watched a pro race with me, and I feel like he gained some respect for what these guys do.

My dad got to witness a legendary RC JS battle and was ignorantly unaware, just trying to have a good weekend and bond with his devil child son who dejected the stick and ball dance.

Pic below I took. My dad walked thru the tunnel jump into infield for first time while RC is going into orbit over his head. That experience is cemented in my thick skull, core memory for me.

1000003182.png?VersionId=0GUfQbMbXPTVYaOuL2P8Ie

Neither of my parents had anything to do with moto. I'd have my friend's dad's signing my waivers at the track. My mom was confused the first time I came home with a trophy, she thought I was racing at a friend's house.

My dad did come to one of my races at Sleepy Hollow. He has civil engineering plans laid out on my homemade trailer we hooked up to his jeep most of the day. I wadded my brains that day trying to impress a dude that was probably back at the car anyways.

My group of friends were a problem for Unadilla and the NY police for a good decade run there...

I'm a married dude. Found a lady that has also been sucked into the two wheel addiction.

Sorry if I offend anyone making this about myself or some shit. I've been doing a lot of reflecting the past little while and I've probably inappropriately used this space as a place to write some thoughts out.

450 racing has been excellent thus far. I would've had two blown ACLs racing that Colorado track.

We had Jimmy D playing beer pong the night before he holeshotted and led for a good 10-12min before fading at Dilla. First race back from injury.

Remember your favorite “hay gloves”?

I wore out three or four pairs of gloves a year stacking hay on a flat rack.

Regular leather tractor gloves when grabbing wire and tossing them…Fox by Yoko when using hooks…this was the late ‘70s/early ‘80s.

Good times.

Amazing horses.

Simple. End welfare. Stop paying people to sit on their lazy asses and (in many cases) get knocked up repeatedly for the benefits, suddenly there will be plenty of available workers.
