I feel like ET3 has the most speed of anyone in the field, maybe even faster than Jett. The dude starts 10-20th and catches the leaders by the half way point. Wonder what would happen if Jett started 15th…What’s it gonna take for Eli to get a start 😎 do you think he works on starts? Or just relies on beast mode? It does make it interesting for us fans but tough for him..
Dude Tomac had a good start in moto 1 today. He was 4th by the second or third corner and would have finished 4th except Hunter crashed on the last lap and gifted him 3rd.
Moto 2 both Jett and Eli had bad starts and finished 1-2.
Something is definitely going on with Tomac, because we all know that when “Beast Mode” is on he has way more speed than anyone else out there. In my opinion, he’s lacking the confidence to just blitz past these guys like we’re used to seeing him do. Hopefully, he will turn this around in the next round or two to make this an interesting season. Otherwise, Jett will just ride this one out to another championship.
We’ve never seen him blitz past Jett..
what if…… what were seeing IS beast mode, every moto?
Jett’s the fastest man on the planet. End of story

What if..... you're the reason alcohol was banned at your home race!
I miss the sensible contributors on this board.. fuck some people are just weird..🤯
Tim Gajser just took his MXdN shirt off.
I am assuming that he is more upset sitting out MXGP because of his shoulder than someone saying on Vital Forums that Jett is the fastest man on the planet. It would definitely take him a moment to take his shirt off because of his sling 😬 How about after witnessing Prado’s time racing in America that we can all agree that Jett is the fastest man on the planet when he is racing in the USA and no one can beat him there 🤷♂️ Does that make you feel better Thumper?
🤣😂🤣😂🤣 did you watch SX
He starts 10-20th? Outside of Hangtown's 2nd moto start debacle when else has he been around 20th?
I noticed the last two rounds that ET pauses in the apex a lot. Kinda stabs it in and accelerates out without flow sometimes where Jett just keeps his speed up and also Tomac line choices sometimes needs some work. He seems to get stuck in the same ole lines.
Just my observation.
Seems like that to me, too. It seems that many times he comes in so much faster that he almost has to stop to not overshoot his line, then he beastmodes the clutch to get back up to speed. Jett's total corner roll speed is poetry in motion in comparison.
The guy is 32 with a family at home, money in the bank and coming off two injuries the last two years. Who’s the last 32 year old we saw going this fast and putting it to the younger guys? As a huge fan of course I want to see him beat Jett but honestly at this stage in his career I’m just glad he’s still out there.
At this point it’s just time to accept that some people will never acknowledge it.
No matter how much stats you line up in front of them, they will grasp at that one time Eli passed Jett in one corner and hold on to that and ignore all the other 99% of the times where it was the opposite.
I was thinking the same, Tomac looks ragged in his pursuit to reel in Jett. The two contrasts in style are night and day, both fast but one is faster, the other has produced mistakes. Beast Mode is activated, it’s just not enough.
You could almost say polar opposite techniqes. Tomac is like the old Bradshaw and Jett like JMB. One is more effective than the other.
This^^^^^^^ Tomac needs to clean up his corners if he wants to beat Jett and possibly settle his bike down a little. His bike is visibly more active than Jett’s.
I also think Eli is losing time mid turn. His bike looks weird to me. He hits the rut and the bike bounces like there is very little rebound damping in the shock. (Not that I am in any way qualified to critique Eli). Fast, rear steer turns he is unmatched. Nobody has the complete package to beat Jett regularly at the moment. I hope Eli can get there.
Pit Row
And he's 21 and hasn't reached his final form yet. Scary. I had a young Deegsn fan tell me, yeah but Jett cant get any better. Why? But I'm just a Jett fanboy. Nope, Chase actually. I'm just not blind and let emotions dictate how analyze a rider
All I know is that the beginning of moto 2 yesterday, I was doubting Jett and felt that he just isn't as fast this year. Then Tomac got behind him and he turned it up to get in first and get away. For sure he's fast, but i honestly think this year he's maturing even more. Hard to day he is maturing even more after he won 450 outdoor (undefeated) and supercross titles in his first year, but he really is trying to take it easy after his injury
I’m a huge fan of Jett. I’m also a fan of Eli.
I’m glad we’re seeing them both battle and go for it every weekend. It’s also nice to put the what-ifs to bed. Also with them both in a relatively even playing field coming off of injuries at the same time, feels like it eliminates even more speculation.
Jett is the FMOTP right now.
His 3rd place last weekend was a statement that he is becoming a better racer than before.
He has been so good that everything beside a win is looked upon as a failure. I can’t imagine how it is to race with that kind of pressure to keeping all impossible stats alive.
So him just backing down and accepting a 3rd will probably prove to be trouble for the other riders. If he normaly dominates and then has a horrible moto and is okay with securing a podium, he will be impossible to beat for a title as long as he don’t get hurt.
I was thinking about this yesterday when Weege were screaming that AP passed Jett straight up.
How strange is it that he has been so good that one pass on him is so incredible?. A totally meaningless pass since Jett just passed him back and won proving that he could go faster if he needed to, but yet it’s talked about now like something super special.
I mean they are not talking about beating him, they are talking about making a pass. As Tomac said, he got so excited that we was close enough to make a attempt in the next corner so he lost focus and fell instead.
I’m just glad tho witness history in the making. It’s more fun to see the best rider to ever swing a leg over a bike in real time instead of the history books.
We live in a good era where we got to see both Everts, Cairoli, Herlings, RC, JS, ET and now Jett. Riders that top the stats as the best riders trough all time in GP’s and AMA.
It's a bummer that Chase Sexton isn't there to defend his title from last year.
😩 ☹️ 😞 😠
Whoa there, don't forget about RV.
Tomac is always mediocre at the beginning of the series, even when he was dominating. It takes him a bit to get going.
It's a long season and anything can happen.
It was great seeing AP and Hunter hang with Jett and Eli in moto 1, it was great seeing Jett and Eli lay the wood to the rest of the field in moto 2, it was great seeing Eli ride so good at his age coming back from injury, it was great seeing Jett ride so good at his age coming back from injury.
This is an all-time great era for moto, hopefully Eli and Chase are on good equipment riding well when Deegan joins the party next year.
Jett and Eli are the top 2 in the world right now. End of story.
Jett having the advantage of age and a brother that blocks and protects him.
Jett and Eli are the fastest in the field, with AP just a bit behind. When Chase gets back and is 100%, he will be right there too. With Eli and Jett, whoever starts in front of the other will win the moto, and Jett has started in front of Eli every moto except Hangtown moto 1. I think they both know it - whoever starts ahead of the other in the moto and doesn't make a mistake will win. Jett was being pushed yesterday and was making mistakes - don't believe it? Go back and rewatch the motos. Recall, AP passing him. The pass stuck too - but AP made a mistake and Jett passed him back. It does show Jett was pushing so hard he was making mistakes. At Hangtown moto 1, you could see Jett just back off and not push it in the heat and risk crashing trying to run Eli down. Kid is playing it smart on the long game. He knows the only way he loses the championship is if he crashes out of it. No sense pushing the limits and risking a crash (like last year) when it's just not there.
I look forward to all the remaining battles this summer between Eli and Jett (and eventually Chase).
And he’s using it to clean Jett’s bike.
ET and AP are making it interesting otherwise Jett would be a run away winner
