Pro Motocross is fucked by SMX. I am not saying this is what Sexton is thinking, but after a grueling SX series, why not run a limited outdoor series and head into the playoffs fresh? Especially since it’s clear Jett is going to claim the lion’s share of ProMX win bonuses? There’s more upside in waiting until the SMX purses are up for grabs.

Ian Harrison, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager: “It is unfortunate to announce that Chase will be sitting out this weekend for the second round of Pro Motocross at Hangtown. He came off a great 2025 Supercross season and showed phenomenal speed and strength at the opening round of Pro Motocross. Unfortunately, he took a hard hit in the first moto which sidelined him for moto two. After feeling the aftereffects of that crash, Chase has made the decision, with the support from the team, to sit out this weekend’s race. The health and safety of our athletes is the number one priority at Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, and we want to ensure that Chase is back to 100% before returning to the bike and the track.”

If that's true, ktm care 100% for rider safety, they should have called him in for goggles.

Ruined what could have been a greater epic season.

He had no goggles, he closed his eyes, how could he see the pit board?    ; )

Chase will go down as the poorest decision making championship contender of all time. How many titles would he have now in SX and MX if he could think more clearly?  At least 1, maybe 2.

Quality Decision-making isn’t a skill that is prevalent among the motocross community. See it all the time at every track.

He will be out longer than that. He’s going to Kawi next year and the championship is toast. He won’t return till he’s 100% healthy.

Hopefully he still goes for wins when he comes back.  His title hopes are gone but he could still get in the mix and give us some good battles.

Thunder Valley seems like the perfect place for him to come back.

Now the pressure is off maybe he can contend for some wins.

Not settling for 2nd in Arlington lost him the title.

You should’ve shot photos/videos of Jade just standing there by himself anyway, as that will go down as MX history.

Yea I can see that as well. But when compared to a guy trying to ride 30+2 with no goggles to a racer going for a race win, one seems infinitely more head scratching.

Yaa but if the pressure was on Webb, he brings it home in 2nd and not 4th in the finale IMO. Webb had a cushion and didn’t have to get 2nd at the last race.

Stressful SX Season. Feelings of despondency with the KTM/Team. Moving on to a new team in Autumn. Wants to come out swinging on his new ride in January.

See you in January Chase- ‘25 has been a blast.👍🏻

After that he still had the opportunity to control his own destiny and laid an egg in Pittsburgh. If he would have committed to the whoops, he’d have put a ton of pressure on Webb.

If that's the case, they should sack him at the end of the season.

The guy is tough as nails in the past, was obviously hurting as he typically gets right up and remounts after crashes. Get well soon champ, the sport is more better with you present.

For what reason? Chase is literally the athlete. They can’t do anything without Chase. They don’t own him, it is a contract.

The stupidity on this board lately has no bounds.

It's bizarre what so many of these threads contain inside.

With the same cast of characters involved.

Can't figure out how you can be a fan of our sport, with so much deep seated loathing of certain riders.

Then endlessly posting about them, based on beliefs concocted in their weak minds.

I guess tearing down Chase, Webb, Deegan, the Lawrence's,  etc... makes them feel better about themselves.

It would be wild if: Chase comes back and goes 1-1 for the remaining 9 rounds, and Eli, Hunter and Jett all have season-ending mishaps 3 rounds from the end.

Does this mean whoever wins the title gets a * next to it?

Is everyone saying that Chase won't be back because he's leaving for Kawi the same people that said Anderson wouldn't be back for the same reason?

Short term memory loss?

I don't think waiting to come in for goggles was that insane of a decision, he wasn't right behind anyone and was trying to wait until the field spread out a little thinking if he pulled in for 10 seconds he would get passed by 2 people instead of 5 similar to a first turn crash vs mid race.

Its crazy to say thats why he crashed, was he distracted? Probably, and that could have led to it but its not like he missed a rut because he was blind. Riding without goggles isnt that crazy until you are getting roosted obviously.

Vision is pretty obscured by the wind. Try sticking your head it the window going 45+. You'll naturally (if you're like me at least) want to squint and have trouble seeing. I'd imagine turning would make it worse and this would detract from focusing on racing

His career has been borderline agonizing to watch at times. It's wild that with all the heartache, he still has 2 premier class championships. I really thought he was in such a good situation to come in and change the narrative this MX season.

I know I've raced off-road without goggles before, plenty of fast sections its not ideal but people are acting like its impossible.

Maybe KTM needs to get Chase and Johnny Girroir together, dude wont the Florida GNCC this year with no goggles for the whole last lap.

I’ll have to disagree.  If he pulls off in the first couple of laps he’s easily fast enough to get back to 5th or 4th or thereabouts.  Combine that with the risk of eye injury and it’s somewhat of a no brainer.

Jett and Eli back @ 100% may have played a big part in all of this .

Chase has never won a title with these guys @100% so his head may have been rattled prior to gate dropping.

Kawi or not i do think hes a racer just has had a weird mindset @ several points in his career

should have pulled in and put on goggles and blitzed for the front in most peoples opnion .
