No but this is a forum so it’s like a conversation, if you offer an opinion people can respond. I’m not seeing a lot of sexton hate.

Yeah hate is an exaggeration. Its frustration. Chase is my guy and I've never had a rider frustrate me more. The mental mistakes are maddening. Just when you think he's turned the page we get what we got Saturday. He's consistently inconsistent. Its such a contrast to my favorite rider ever Dungey

I don't get it. On top of being the most harmless inoffensive guy out there he's talented, resilient and often the underdog 250 through to 450, fans usually gravitate towards these types in general sports

Joe Rogan needs to have a lambasted esoteric scientist on his podcast to explain the phenomenon behind the mysterious and elusive “false neutral.”

If it were any more false, it would be true.

It feels similar to dungey in a lot of ways. Dungey caught a lot of flack because it 'felt' like he could do better. In his case, outright speed. He was so smooth and compared to villo it just visually looked like he wasnt throwing in that extra. 25%.

Chase also 'feels' like he could do better, but in his case it's mistake related vs outright speed.

But for bothbof them, they catch shit because us fans can see what's possible juuuuust over the horizon. And its frustrating as hell when you can't quite get there.

Watching Pulp and they havent said anything as far as a Chase injury. They're talking like he's good for next week. Unless I missed something

he either hit his rear brake or stalled mid air.

Looks like he landed in false neutral, weight went forward, tapped the rear brake in the process then slammed his head to the ground to me.

Weight goes forward after his tire locks up.

What video are you watching? He very clearly tries to land on the gas but is in false neutral, so his weight transfers forward onto the rear brake and then locks up and he crashes.

Matthes said on pulp show that he was told data showed sexton hit neutral.

I won't be surprised if he doesn't race Hangtown with some "Shoulder/arm issue"

I never hit "false" neutral in my life. The only neutral I ever hit by error was from first to second...you know, where neutral is. And yes, it sucked. Just like what happened to Chase. You have to be micro shifting to hit neutral between other gears.

Yeah if he's injured he probably wont be able to race. Or you're saying he's going to make up an injury? Chase is a headcase of sorts but now he's a quiter?

I would not be completely shocked…

Still wondering about RV’s injury that ended the GP’s adventure.

McGrath’s hip injury and a concussion to end the 2002 KTM misery?

No hate, just speculating!

Hit his head on the ground, then his bike hits him in the head before he gets his foot peg drug across the side of his head.

That's a lot of head.

His motorcycle landing on him looked pretty knarly! It sure looked like the foot peg would have done some damage to his body.

I would speculate the injure was not from hitting the ground when he first crashed but instead from the bike dropping on him

I'm sorry but Chase is the epitome of fall 8 times get up 9. He may be a lot of things but a quitter is not one of them.

Lots of debating in the comments. Did Chase say that or the IG page said that ? I’d bet money that he landed on the rear brake...

I’d bet money that he landed on the rear brake, you can see the rear wheel lock up momentarily in the slow motion video I saw.

I agree, rear wheel locked up. He hit the rear brake when he landed. Also the bike was in gear when he picked it up. Still running he held the clutch in and took off.

It always shocks me that people who have never raced a dirt bike come here to comment on the best.

I feel like the debate between false and true neutral lies somewhere in the middle...between gears 🙃

False neutral wouldn’t cause the tire lock up as soon as he landed. Maybe he down shifted into first and that’s what caused the rear to lock up but he didn’t land in ‘neutral’

Hopefully he is ok and shows up healthy to race this weekend.  It is much better racing with him there.

Apparently, you've never had the pleasure of riding some of the European models in the '70s (some seemed to have a neutral between every gear) or a bike with rounded dogs that wouldn't engage or suddenly pop out of gear. 😄
