Just listened to the 450 press conference, and it seemed like everyone asked each rider the same standard questions, but no one dared to ask Anderson why he left SX early.
The best we got, was a pitiful, “what have you been up to the past few weeks?”
To which Anderson naturally replied, just training and trying to get the blisters off.
What a joke, the media in this sport continues to be…
I wish people would recognise not everything is your business. Do you want every single part of your life laid out in public?
He left SX early due to a family emergency, that’s a perfectly legitimate answer, it’s nothing to do with us

All these adults acting like they deserve more information into why another adult hasn't been at his job when they have told you the reason was health and family related already is wild. Being curious because you're a fan is one thing. Acting angry or put out is weird

Look around at other examples of media- the tabloids are full of shit which is no one else’s business, but reporting on it makes the newspapers millions!
why can’t this sport have the same level of journalism as other sports and general day to day celebrities?
Yeah I understand losing pit access blah blah blah, but why isn’t that a thing in other sports and surrounding other celebrities? Why don’t those reporters care about losing access?
Or maybe the celebrities recognise that all publicity is good publicity?
People don’t need to know people want to know. Sponsors need to know. Employer needs to know. Team needs to know. Family needs to know. In the age of social media people want all access to their favorite rider/actor/athlete. Some give that Deegans for example. Others do not Tomac for example. I’m sure if he wanted it know he would say.

If media folks didn’t ask, I’m guessing they’re doing so out of respect. They asked some pretty straightforward stuff to other riders that were sensitive talking points. They know what they’re doing and i appreciate that there’s probably nuance. Sure were curious but it’s ok to not have an answer if it’s not our business.
What people often don’t consider when something like this happens is that it might genuinely be a family emergency. An elderly relative could have had a heart attack or stroke, one of the rider’s kids might have been in an accident, or their partner could be seriously unwell. If your partner calls and says, “You need to come home,” you’d probably tell your boss or HR what’s going on—but would you explain the details to everyone in the office before heading out?
It doesn’t always have to be a conspiracy or cover-up. It could be a real personal emergency—or maybe he just got the symptoms of food poisoning during the track walk.
Or else what, ultimately, I am concerned for Jason and his family, but it is not my place to give a shit. It is none of our business, I ran a business for 45 years, even employees need space, let alone performers...

Maybe people are confused because they said family emergency but here it sounds like he had some kind of personal health issue that kept him off the bike.
Both have been cited. Sources the day he left the track claimed family issues but the vital video today he talked about time off due to health issues.
Someone on pulp mentioned mental health vaguely a few weeks ago.
It could very well be that whatever the family emergency was ended up affecting Jason's mental health from the stress. Either way, the only thing we need (as someone above put it) to know is that he's 100% now and ready to go racing.

I know the riders are public figures but they are still humans, and I think it’s absolutely fair that there are certain aspects of their lives that we don’t need to know or ask questions about.

Perhaps people in the media know why he has been gone… perhaps it’s something that is very personal and just isn’t something that’s appropriate to bring up to the public. Perhaps it’s just media people being respectful of someone’s personal life…I dunno, just a thought, what would I know 🤷🏻♂️

He'll tell us why in interview right after the last round and then all the media guys will talk about how they all knew all along, heard rumblings, knew but didn't know exact details so didn't say anything, etc etc etc...... there are no secrets in this little world. The fact that nobody pressed him at all tells me they all know.
