All I care about is the motocross stuff.
Currently on vacation with my wife for a week. On a beach, drinking a cold beer, no worries in the world. Life is great right?
But after a couple days of this, I just can’t help but think about how I can’t wait to get back to my dirtbike. Watch some racing. Work on my dirtbike. Use my vacation to go do dirtbike things instead of sitting on a sandy beach getting roasted in the sun.
I can’t be the only one. I’m ready to get back back home and do motocross stuff. 🙌
Focus on that wife of yours big guy! The bike will be there waiting for you when you get back
With that said, while away on vacation and if I like the area I tend to search to see if there are any tracks or riding areas around for future trips
You right brotha. I just hate the beach and get grumpy as hell 😂
Sounds like you have it good man!
It's easy to say enjoy the moment and you are but I find sometimes for myself it is hard to focus on the moment in real time even when it is so good.
Always thinking of what's ahead or riding moto....
Too many beers, time to switch it up with some boat drinks. I'm generally a Jameson neat man but there's something about boat drinks when you need a head change.

Id encourage you to do as the rest of us do whilst beaching; continue dranking, side eye on bikinis, construct sand Anaheim III just off your towel- forget about home.![]()
I don't know what beach you are at, but if there are any waves, rent a board and catch a few waves. At least go out and body surf a little. My wife LOVES body surfing.
I don't like the beach either so I get that, but you've got your wife next to you on the beach dude. That should be plenty to get rid of the grumpy 😂
While laying on the beach with my wife, I started making a SX track in the sand next to us, two little kids walking by stopped and asked if they could help, I said sure, a few minutes later thier dad comes up and asks if they are bothering us. I said not at all. He leaves and a few minutes later returns with a cooler of beer and some snacks, We end up with a giant SX track and a good buzz.
Enjoy the time with your wife.
Practice making babies. 😄
Leaving on vacation later today with the wife. Mammoth! Bought a new Husky last weekend. Been thinking of it non stop just waiting for me. Going to be a long weekend but a few cocktails will take my mind off it! haha
Come on man. Enjoy what you have in front of you.
Update: 6 beers later I’m having a decent time. I was in grump mode when I made this post.
I’m ready to be back on the bike but I’m having fun 😂 cheers fellas
I’m with you bro but this beach literally has zero waves so there isn’t anything to surf. If there were waves I’d be out here having a blast trying to surf it up.
Bring your bike and go for a ride. Mammoth is beautiful.
My wife's family are in the Victorville area so I've been planning annual vacations out there for the first couple of rounds...hit Thunder Valley on the way back to Kansas. Other things going this year so I'm gonna miss it.
Enjoy your time in the sand. Lucky man.
That does not suck.😉
nice! I usually bring my ktm 500 duel sport to Mammoth with me. But this is a quicky holiday weekend trip and just bringing the ebikes this time. Will get plenty of miles around town on them though. I usually ride over to the mx track on my bike just to check things out. Plus, wife would be bummed if I rode off on the ktm without her!
there 26 through 29 with our dual bikes
Pit Row
My wife wanted to go on a cruise. Sometime in January, get out of the cold in Ohio. I picked one out of Long Beach a day after Anaheim 1. She was happy for me to go to a race for a night if she got to go on a cruise for a week.
Planning on taking her to Portland this year. Will coincide with Washougal National. She won’t be sad for me to disappear for a day while she does vacation stuff.
"Plus, wife would be bummed if I rode off on the ktm without her!" Hahaha... An XT250 fixed that issue for me. I got lucky she likes riding as much if not more than me.
I’m with the OP, I make it about one day on a regular vacation and just miss two wheels. Luckily my wife’s the same way so our last two trips have been to whistler for MTB and Costa Rica for riding!! Costa Rica unlimited tour is rad even if you family or wife don’t ride, the accommodations are amazing and the family can do whatever while you rip epic trials and beaches!

The wife and I happen to be in a similar situation as yourself
LOL
Got to Montego Bay Monday and leaving Sunday
I've found a good middle ground with my missus and vacations, I'm really not too fussed where I go. So I send her the MXGP calender and she picks the country, then we have 1 day out during the trip to attend a GP.
So far we've done St Jean de Angely, Trentino and Agueda. Keeps the Moto fix satisfied!
You are a scholar and a gentleman
I once went on a river rafting trip with my dad and aunt. Everybody on the raft was hooting and hollering while going over the (mellow) rapids. All I could do was look around and think to myself... "these people must not ride motorcycles."
Oh well, have fun, Shortty. You'll be back riding in no time.
as someone who is currently about to finalize his divorce from a the woman he did not want to divorce, i can not agree more with the focusing on your wife everyone is tlking about. If i had done a better job of that, i wouldn't be in the miserable position I'm in losing all my shit and only getting to see my kids on weekends. wife=priority over everything else!
