the question I have is if KTM cant pay Chase then why all the Tomac talk? Certainly Tomac wouldn't go there either if they were "going out of business" correct?

Maybe CS wants a 3 year deal and ET is happy with a 1 year contract? ET has been talking retirement for a couple years now, so the longer term health of the company wouldn’t matter as much..

Just a WAG..

If KTM Austria ceases operations it will have a direct impact on KTM NA. I have no idea of the odds of this happening, but it's not 0%. The odds of KHI suddenly stopping is roughly 0%. Could be as simple as he rode a KX and liked it. That's enough for me.

Logical. Simple. Nothing more to say. 👍🏻

Also, Chase has been rocking the backwards hat. Now, at the SLC post race conference, he had no hat on. Is that a subtle hint as to what’s in the cards for him and KTM? I know it’s been mentioned before with the hat, but can’t imagine the RB/KTM being too thrilled. Don’t know if I missed it being addressed already but something to chew on.

Wearing a KTM hat on the podium is a contractual obligation and wearing it backwards 3 weeks in a row is a statement fo sho

Makes you wonder if KTM is paying him his win bonuses! I know the salary is put in a escrow  but not bonuses and they are broke!

That was my thought. His deposits have been delayed and he is saying I will wear your hat when you pay me what you owe me. That's just wild speculation, but there must be some reason he is comfortable breaching his contractual obligations to RedBull KTM.

Money?  I mean, who wouldn't want the comfort of knowing you will get paid for all of your hard work?  I mean seriously, at this point, this isnt even a valid question.

You would think yet people keep asking it.

Which puts Eli in an even more precarious situation.  It seems his choices are an established team with a good bike but a serious question mark over their financial future, or a brand new team with probably sufficient finances but a totally unproven bike.

KTM stiffed their hat supplier and now they can’t get any new ones.

Which is even crazy to think about considering we're talking about Eli Tomac who is still a championship contender! The sport is just weird sometimes🤷‍♂️

Honest question, how is KTM NA funded? I know they work with Wells Fargo but are they paying their own debt and solvent on their own, or does PMG or another entity cover some or all of their debt payment?

How does KTM N/A keep doing business without bikes?

At some point this is going to ‘click’ with Soggy and he’ll feel a right plonker..

Just posted on May 8th

KTM's parent firm Pierer Mobility has posted brutal preliminary results for 2024, revealing a €1.28billion loss before tax and plunging sales as the company scrambles to restructure its business.

Equity has gone deep into the red at minus €199 million while revenue nosedived by 29.4% to €1.88bn from €2.66bn the previous year, with net debt ballooning to €1.64bn.

Signing with Kawi is a smart move.

Not cool to post those figures in Euro's man.  American's like myself like to measure & count things very differently. I need to know how many 5 dollar footlongs that equates to. 😄😂

Your phone doesn't have a euro to footlongs conversion? 🤷‍♂️

Without question. I don't understand people even questioning him staying with KTM in these circumstances. This thread should have two posts, OP "Is Chase leaving KTM?", next post "He should, KTM is broke". Done
