DC - great job on the Nat series. The shows and tracks are looking good. And sounding good - J-Wag and crew are top notch.

Anything looming in the future for bringing two-strokes back into Pro racing ... or expanding the broadcasts to include both motos? Sometimes the best stuff goes down in the first moto and a brief highlight doesn't always do it justice.

Huh??? What do you want to do, watch the second moto and be in suspense about who won the first moto until they announce the overall?
I'd rather see the pre-race coverage and more in-depth highlights first to at least build a little suspense. As opposed to them just showing the results or telling us who won the first moto and then showing brief highlights.

DC and crew are doing a great job. Yes it can get better and it will. Remember when you saw the USGP at Carlsbad 6 months after the fact. Not to mention seeing everyone stop by the bike shop on wednesday to pick up a "CYCLE NEWS" to find out what happened the weekend before. To change a quote a little "Racers, they are a bunch of bitchie little girls". LOL

Why would'nt you want to know who won the first moto? That sets up the basis for who's in position to win come the second moto. If you just watched the second moto, you would'nt know who's in what position to win the overall in the second.

I went to Hangtown, Washougal and Lakewood this year... All were sick. The banners block the view a little bit, but they do seem to give you a sense that this is no local race. I didn't get the impression anybody was burned out... As far as the TV coverage, just enjoy the fact we get some decent stuff. Races used to not even be televised, give the guys time to grow the series, we'll end up with 2 hour coverage showing both motos I bet...

I think the tracks and the coverage have been awesome this year...and the racing itself has been epic. Thanks for your part in that DC.

The energy of some of these guys blows me away-- The Weege, GuyB, DC, Matthes, Wozney.
If you have ever worked on a magazine, edited video, done high level photo work or anything else, you realize how much work it is.
I know we all work hard at our jobs, but when you throw in the travel these guys do, it's pretty incredible the dedication they have. And the amount of recognition and money is not commensurate.

Hey DC - keep it up it has been great so far.

MXSports has been improving the tv/internet package for us fans. I am sure next year will even be better.

Ideas for next year:
- After the 1st motos - have more interviews of riders not just top 3. Make it part of the agreement so they have to do it if asked. Would have been great to hear what Short had to say last race. If 1st motos are still on line it can be done prior to the 1st moto of the 250 race so there isn't any dead air and then after the 250 moto prior to sutting it down for the 2nd motos. I think this will bring more knowledge of all riders and not just the top guys. It should not be about thanking sponsors - it should be about their thoughts on the race and their competition. Their sponsors logos speak for themselves.

- Spend more time on some of the back markers race. There are some good racing of those in all positions. Can their be a split screen. We could see Dungey winning and then short getting passed by KDub in the last corner.

- Show more of the womens race - this is a large participant / fan based growth opportunity. The ROI could be substancial.

- Can the shows be rerun during the week. This is a chance to gain viewership and sponsorship. Most of us moto fans DVR all the races but for a casual fan watching speed on a wed night and sees the race - they can become hooked. And for sponsorships - if businesses see their logo multiple times a week they are more likely to sponsor a team or rider or series.

Thanks DC - I do watch all races and usually go to 1-2 races and always have a great time.

Jaeckle that's two threads on this page where you mentioned we might be burned out, and I am not sure what you are implying. I enjoy the hard work and so does everyone on our team. It's been a long year for everyone but I think it's been a really good year, and we are already working on next year.

And yes, the live Internet package and the series itself are more important to me than the Racer X Shows alone. So is raising my family and doing my real job at the magazine and raising my young family. That takes time too.

Hurricane Mills. It's HOT as HELL...& Humid. It's the 2nd day of racing @ Loretta's...the Heat-Wave is sending some riders to the Med-Crew.
Golf-Cart goes by me as I'm walkin back to the Rig, "Hey! Get In! We're goin' to the creek!"
It's DC & his kids. Smilin', enjoying the day...jus' lovin' life.
If EVER there was a day to be "Burned Out", for DC it was THAT day.
PERIOD.
But, NO! They(He & his kids...) were lovin' another day of racin'...

I don't think these folks know how to have a bad day at the races.

I'm jus' knowin'...

I like the pre shows, the live streaming motos and the archives.

Being able to check in any time and any place with a connection (which is most everywhere)
is very cool.

One improvement DC, raise your advertising rates. Give the wife and kids a prime South Seas vacation this year.

I used to sell ads for some 45 degree single crankpin magazines.
Raising the rates isn't easy, especially in tough times.

How are paper prices lately? LOL

Once I heard on the podcast, that you also run a restaurant in your hometown, I about fell out the back of my chair.

I don't know how you manage having a family, running a magazine, national series, restaurant, etc. but as a fan, I appreciate everyone's hard work at MX Sports, and Racer-X.

What's more controversial, raising rates or charging for content?

You know the answer.

What are you, chairman of the shit on DC club that was called to meeting today.

Try reading it the way it's written, which is putting the post race show together isn't his real job. It's a lesser priority among the other tasks attending running the series and the magazine. It's been delegated. That's the point of what he wrote isn't it, obviously out of frustration, not your smart ass twist his words suggestion.

Other than the track work after practice and between motos I think MX sports is the best thing to ever happen to USA motocross. It has become a professional motorsports EVENT rather than just a race. I truly appreciate DC and MX sports helping the sport I love more then life itself (at times..lol) stay alive. Life would suck if all we had was a national SX series in the states and we were very close before MX sports took over to not having a series. I really wish they wouldn't do as much track work as they do but if MX sports and DC think that's what they need to do I'll deal with it.

thanks for all of your hard work Davey, most of us are extremely grateful for every thing you have done for the sport.

The ones that complain would never have made it through the 70`s & 80`s. Those of us that did make it realize what we have and appreciate it. Keep up the good work DC.
