It’s the smart thing to do just in case. It’s a balanced frame and they will put KYB on it for him. Ktm is just a large ? And at that level it is not something he needs. AP? Different story and run it till it sinks

Seems like there isn’t much press on KTMs financial situation and Chase’s decision to possibly leave.  I would venture to guess it has a huge bearing on his decision.

When they host you for factory tour you tend to play stupid when it’s time to ask real questions.

Either they are expecting Chase to lose the SX title and they won't need the extra bikes to sell, OR they are expecting Chase to win the SX title and they need to save up money to pay his win bonus!

So you screwed your parts suppliers financially, and want them to start sending you parts again, but can't pay them but still somehow think they will continue sending components?  🤦  (how I interpret this):

"This news comes out of European media outlets, with GPOne reporting that the issue comes with supply chain problems. KTM does not make all the components for its bikes in-house; many parts come from third-party manufacturers like Brembo. GPOne reports there is currently a spending freeze that prohibits the factory from buying such components, and that’s why production is stopped. If they can’t make the components themselves, they can’t finish building the bikes."

According to Uptite, Chase is staying put. As we all know, he’s the motocross insider around here.

I used to work for Bombardier building train cars. This happened alllllll the time. Bombardier trying to be cheap and only ordering what they need for a certain time frame and then letting the payment terms run out as long as possible. If the fine line is overstepped, you have no parts and production stops. You can only buy Brembo brakes from Brembo, so if they want cash up front and you don't have it, you have no choice.

If you know who Uptite is he does have a lot of connections inside the industry.  I've chatted with him a few times and he's a straight up good guy.  People attacking his insider information that he can share is annoying to him at times but I appreciate what he can share at the same time.

I guess Bajaj will buying a majority ownership for pennies on euro.

Austrian gov't should audit Pierer. Rumors of him taking the covid relief money for his personal gain.

Did you not see the thread where Uptite was outed as multiple people with the same password?

I'm a machinist. I've worked for small companies with their own product line, contract shops and large corporations. One small company, the general manager would send me on a run with the company pickup to their bank, and then to a supplier about 15 miles away in Davenport, IA. Even though a very wealthy guy from Michigan owned the company, they would string suppliers along until they would refuse any shipments. So me as a young dude at the time running a machine no less, would get some cruise around time to go and "fix" their situations!!

Now I work for a large corporation, ($14 billion revenue) and they do the same bs. I just don't get sent around town to "fix" the situations!

I love that this has received nothing but downvotes. Even though Villo, RC and others are saying they have heard it’s been signed. Hence the “apparently”.

Don't want to lose any of the KTM brand(s), as they are "VITAL" to moto and SX. But what a gift it would be for team Green fans to land Chase on Kawasaki. I already root for him, so to possibly get him would be outstanding

^Sometimes it's hard for people to accept that you can't just spill the beans because you know something. There are media blackouts and confidentiality agreements for a reason, and if those get violated, the violator soon sees his source of info cut off.

I deleted my post, nothing to gain here on my end.

It’s shitty to see conversation on here around information that isn’t true, you know it isn’t true, but you can’t say anything. Then you choose to say as much as you can vaguely and fellow Vital members dont like it and say you don’t know what you’re talking about. I am best off keeping my mouth shut.

That sounded like it was about to unfold into a Profeshenal125 story with the wealthy Russian mob guys in IA. Lol

No reason to even respond to her lick he's probably drunk and his mom's basement everything he posts I just passed by, all you're doing is feeding stupidity when you respond to him! And yeah unfortunately vital has a way of pushing out people that know you woul  think the moderators would look into that because that's kind of what makes this form important at least to me! And otherwise the places becoming a cesspool of haters! Sorry for the voice text LOL

Supply chain issues in many cases has to do with suppliers not getting paid!  In this case who knows.

Clearly some of you people have never owned or operated a business.  Costs come at you fast and steady.  Money often comes in in waves and sometimes customers are really late paying.  You try to diversify your customer base, but some large jobs come through - those big companies don't pay on time (often net 120-160 days).  But yet, you have weekly or bi-monthly payroll, rent, insurance, etc. that keeps coming in on a regular basis regardless of what your income is doing. One day, you're rich, the next day you're praying for a miracle to make payroll.  Some of the biggest and most profitable companies in the world are shitty payers.  That's not by accident.
