That may be the most thoroughly cooper webb has ever been dominated. From losing last week and getting finger gunned, to saying hes gonna come back and whoop chases ass…. that was supposed to be a bounce back from coop. To lose by almost 20 seconds when they both started in the same spot was crazy. Chase looks as good as he ever has.

Ppl always say ooooo he was so fast on the honda though. They dont mention how he washed out the front end and crashed CONSTANTLY. Hes the best hes ever been on the ktm. To switch from this to another bike right now and have to take a year to learn a new bike would be nuts. If he is able to beat webb in a slug fest like this could be the next step he needs to take to be able to beat jett. Now is not the time to change anything, its the time to keep compounding. That was a donination. Never count out coop, but chase is lookin as good as ever.

1.2 sec faster than Webb, who had a second on Plessinger in 3rd. So it's not like Webb wasn't flying. I don't understand the Kawi thing. Chase really wants off the KTM that bad? What's he know that we don't, he would be even faster on green? I just can't see it.

Being 1.2 seconds faster than the second fastest is pretty damn much in racing.

100% agree. This whole Sexton/Kawasaki thing has never felt right to me. Unless the move is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY...I just can't see Chase making the move, unless like Maverick posted...maybe he's ridden the new KTM and doesn't like it.

KTM is still financially challenged.  And there's another financial meeting the 25th. Chase would be smart to have a guaranteed pay check.

Why would Prado left KTM after being 4x champ?

Why would Herlings search for a way out the brand he’s been with for his entire life?

It’s no secret by now

Chase has to keep up with Jett, that’s why he’s going to Kawi imo.

Ooof Coop got the Jimmy Dugan Clap by Chase. Two things just happened.
A complete mental shift in Chases mind, and another in Webbs mind.

Webb has to be in panic mode after that race. That was ridiculous.

I have to admit that when they started 1-2, I thought Webb would stalk him for 15 minutes then break Chase mentally. Sexton answered the call today.

Rider pay is put in escrow at signing before the season ….so reguardless of KTM bankruptcy…Chase would get paid….that is if they have it to offer to begin with.  Can they offer what someone else can??  Who knows…but if I had to shrink the whole team (less riders) to do it…I would.

…and I hate to say it…but KTM juniors should be the first to go probably.  A whole rig and no way bike sales offset no income from the effort.

Every one has on and off days.  And he still has the lead.

That reminded me a lot of Kenny’s 2017 A1 performance.

Prado left KTM to get a ride here. There was no room on KTM for him here.

Yeah, he even told us all that he was still recovering from the gunshot wound.

I don’t think he had an off day. Chase had an on day.

Perhaps that was a strategic move by Webb.  Maybe he didn’t feel right on the track.  Perhaps he was in a tough spot mentally.  It would’ve been horrific to challenge for the lead on a track you’re not comfortable with and go from a points lead to a deficit because of a crash.

If he won tonight, would he have won the title?

No.

If he crashed, could he have lost the title?

Yes.

Think.

I was trying to think of the last gap that big on a dry track and that was it

100% agree. Webb wasn't feeling it on that track and he knew 2nd behind Sexton is ok on that particular track.

It's a smart move by Webb.

I thought Chase would gap him, Chase has that much more speed. Chase just has to do this 3 more times where that might be the hardest part for him.

Right. Coop had a second a lap on the field and smoked 3rd. That was just Chase on it.

To think that the Ktm is holding him back from being competitive against Jett, but a kawi will make up the deficit is delusional.

Perhaps it is just what it is? Webb got his ass handed to him. Many things lined up until it didn’t in the main event.

Chase put a whooping on him plain and simple. It wasn’t like Cooper was coming through the pack, or applying pressure the entire race and just couldn’t get around.

Nope, it was a goodbye, Cya later, I am already doing my interview by the time Coop finished(joking but you get the point).

Coop has to find a way to ruffle Chasers cage  and get in his head.

Right now, Chase just reaffirmed that he is the fastest and that he can win out no problem if he holds himself together.

Good time to be a fan

X2. Getting a coach for the mental game is more important than any bike Chase is gonna ride. If Chase was on a Kawi, he would have won by 30sec today? Nope

I always thought Chase should have gone to Yamaha instead of KTM.  I think his 24 SX season would have gone much better.  Could it have happened?  IDK…but remember…. Chase signed with KTM way before Webb changed teams.  Maybe Eli didn’t want that?  or Chase?…I think it was ALL about money….but I find it hard to believe they (Star) wouldn’t have taken a swing.  Maybe someone here knows what happened back in 23’.

…btw…you know you got a great contract when it throws a huge company into bankruptcy!!…jk

Definitely one of the best rides of his career. At least in SX
