Coop was pretty pissed on the podium. Getting fingerblasted by sexton might have rattled him a bit. Hard to say, but if sexton wins this championship that might be the turning point. Id probably say if he beats coop thatll turn his whole career around and hell have much more for jett in the future. My money would still be on coop, but its getting interesting.
Webb has pretty thick skin...and I just can't believe he'd be "rattled" by Sexton's gesture, especially seeing that he's pretty much the king of head games. There has to be a bigger story to this.

What we have here is another case of....
I think the "bigger story" is getting beat straight up when he was nearly within striking distance from the get go. Since the beginning half of the season, there hasn't been a race that Chase and Coop have had the opportunity to go head to head for the entirety of the main event with Coop not besting Chase. In most cases, they've been separated, or Chase has made a mistake that allowed Coop to beat him.
Webb has been the better guy in the latter half of the season and his mentality appears to have shifted in that direction as well. This was a big blow to straight up get out ridden by his championship rival.
To wrap back around to the point, I think you're right. I don't think Coop is rattled by Chase fingerblasting him, he's rattled because he got straight up beat.

You're right on. If Jett or Tomac had beat him in this manner, I don't think it would've bothered Webb as much, because I think he views them as speed freaks that require gamesmanship and a little luck to beat. On the other hand, I think he views himself as straight-up the superior SX rider to Sexton, so it bothered him that he got bested.
Rumor has it Jett has been working on that exact move
And just like that Webb is humble again.
