Roczen shouldn't be an option.  Yeah I know he has citizenship now but still . I bet he wouldn't accept if asked anyway.

For real. See yourself out if you would even want him on the team. It's not like a Jeff Ward situation where he rode for the US his whole career. Roczen won the event for Germany! Cool, he has his citizenship. No, I don't want him on the US team

Last year he had a legitimate reason not to go, the year before’s reason for not going was lame.

Legitimate both years. The first year, Coker basically said no given the two other riders.

Haiden don't make his career choices to please adult crybabies who will shit on him either way.

So you're saying an American citizen shouldn't be an option for Team U.S.A. ?

I wouldn't want a person who couldn't be fucked representing my country two years in a row to suddenly show up just because it was convenient. Especially if they'd made a big show of being a 'patriot' for no other reason than to garner clicks and drum up controversy.

If Jett had exhibited some anti-Aussie behavior I really wouldn't give a shit, I want to see him at the MXdN. I have no Australian patriotism.

I don't understand why the Aussies seem so invested in American patriotism.

My feeling is the Aussies around here would roast the shit out of Jett if he'd done what Haiden had.

MX1 Haiden Deegan

MX2 Hailee Deegan

MX3 Brian Deegan

Totally messes up…

“What time does Deegan race?”

🤣

Nice meme. Well, if Aussies are jealous its certainly not about your riders - being that the best MX and SX rider in the world is Australian. Add to that, and in terms of Antipodeans, the best 250 SX rider in the world right now is a 17-year-old Kiwi.

No, AP proved he's not capable of performing at this event. He's gone 3 times. If he raced forward instead of backward last year, we'd be #'s 1, 2 and 3 going to Ironman. Zero reason to go again if your teammate was catching you in moto 2 on a bike he rode for a week.

Agree IF his results look like last year. If he unexpectedly starts dominating Tomac and Sexton, how could you not choose him?

These things will work themselves out as the outdoor season progresses.

A Tomac, Sexton and Deegan team is the only choice if all 3 are healthy and willing.

I am going to respectfully disagree on that first sentence. The second sentence however, I agree.

Screw Deegan he doesn't deserve to be on the team.  Give me Webb on the 250 again, RJ or Hymas.  Send the guys that want to be there every single year.  Deegan is the last cancer we want on the team.  It won't be about the team it'll be about YouTube and getting clicks.  I hope he never gets picked for a team.

Damn straight.

Though I can't imagine it, Jett may get some leeway if he didn't go once, but twice while waving the flag all year would definitely attract a lot of shit.

However unlike the US it seems, I don't think we'd be so quick to forgive and forget.

And i think Webb has earned a spot regardless of who’s healthy

I became a pretty big fan after MXON 2015. I think that was the best he’s looked outdoors on a 450, and he was still a 250 rider. He took that tip over to heart and I felt bad for him.

Another very cool thing is how well barcia did that weekend. I completely forgot about that and couldn’t even remember who our other 450 rider was

I am on board with this team 100%.  First and foremost, fu@k Deegan for not going the last two years, being one of the most talented people and getting to represent your entire country would be an honor that no amount of money would ever replace for me. Second, I want us to win, fuck earning it by being a good guy or putting in the time, IMO you earn a spot on the team by twisting the throttle harder than every other American citizen, so with that said as long as deegs smokes everyone else he’s my pick.

I would make a hard case for Eli, chase and Kenny. Kenny steps up at this event and is a solid pick, the man has lived in this country longer than he’s lived in Germany now, he’s got an American wife and American son. That man is as red white and blue as the rest of us and this country is built on immigrants from all over the globe.

I wouldn't say "so invested",,,, rather "so interested"

But to answer "why"?

I'm generalising... but for many of us, American's are some of the most overtly outwardly patriotic people on the planet. Which in turn makes it fascinating to watch how that plays out in the sports we love to watch

As to your questions:

If Kawasaki signs Sexton, does he race?  Not sure, he didn't race when he'd just signed to KTM citing timing issues.

If Prado is ready, does Kawasaki let him race?  I think so. I think a lot of the reason Kawi don't go is because of beef with Roger De Oldster.

Does New Zealand pick Cole Davies?  100%

My preference for Team USA.

Eli Tomac

Chase Sexton

Chance Hymas (fuck Deegan he's shown zero loyalty).

Do you think Cole is a given? As of today; I'd think Brodie Connolly would be the 250 pick on MX experience/performance.

But if Cole brings Star, and marketing possibilities  (maybe some Whittakers sponsorship $ 😉) then that weighs into things. I guess we'll see once US Outdoors is underway. Wonder how Brodie goes on a 450 at the moment.....

As for NZ and Davies, have to see how he goes Outdoors then decide I reckon.

Probably in the same line as Americans getting sick about getting Jett shoved down your throats, because you has to see it.

The rest of the world has to see the ”American pride” every day of the year, on the news, your president etc. And I’m fine with that as long as it’s real. But when we have to get it down our throats and it’s abut as real as Marissa’s tits, and it’s only for likes and selling merch, people will get an opinion about it.

For most of us Des nations is the highlight of the year and we want to see riders on the gate that want to be there, and give the event the respect it deserves instead of turning it to some smack talking circus to make more money on YouTube.

If healthy going on past results Tomac and Sexton. Now the 250 rider should be an easy choice with Deegan BUT only if Webb declines to do it again first. He stepped up when it counted and earned first right of refusal IMO

I want Deegan to get picked to see all the best riders on the track buuut if he only agrees to line up when it's in his country when he has the 'advantage' then I think that's lame..
