Sacha really needs to change something here, I don't know if it his mindset or something else, but the crashes he had lately (especially in France and race 1 today) are really really really scary, and it's a miracle he is not injured... yet. Thoses falls could be career ending, and at 17 years old you got way more years to live on your feets rather than a chair...
I do recognize the capacity to ride a motorcycle, and to do it really fast actually, but I really hope for him and his next years (professionnal and personal life) that he analyse what he is doing wrong before its too late...😕
Agreed. I was surprised to see him get up after that.
He is riding over his head, he gets starts because he is so small, and he doesnt have the stature to manhandle the bike when it gets away from him.
Same issue as last year , fast between crashes.
When he grows he wont get starts, and he will need to figure it out,
You feel Lucas' second moto crash was less scary?
Borat races moto?

They need someone like Pourcel, Vuillemin, Everts, Moss, ... because with al respect Joel Smets can't calm them down.
The frequence of Sacha's crashes that worries me the most.
I don't think the "problem" (if there is one?) has something to do with Smets...
I'm sure he's better in the whoops than vialle and prado
Idk if he is riding over his head. I mean he looks totally in control.. until he’s not. Then he just yardsales himself lol
Not sure why everyone thinks he’s going to grow anymore though. He’s what 17-18? He’s not going to get any taller. which is what he needs to get more leverage. I’m sure he’ll bulk up though and that will help. But I don’t think he’s getting any taller.
He is definitely very fast. I hope he figures it out. He’s exciting to watch and a great rider.
You’ve seen this?
No ...if you want to learn whoops you must not be afraid and he is not afraid of whoops....vialle and prado are
No, he isn't the problem. But the kids (and maybe some people in the entourage?) forget that Rome isn't build in one year neither two, but it burned down in less than six days.
He’s not afraid to ride the ragged edge, but holy hell, was he absolutely flying in moto 2 until he ran out of steam coming from behind.
yep if i was a team manager i would not hire a euro (with no SX experience) for 450Sx.....best do some futures than pick a coast for a couple more years....(french riders may be an exception thou as they do abit of it).
Maybe he should be
So you wouldn't hire a 4-time World Champ?
Pit Row
Main problem for Prado is to directly race the big boys in the 450cc category.
You first have to learn US Supercross, step by step, if you want to perform later.
Only 3 world champ' competed directly in the premier class: Bayle, Albertyn and Tortelli.
Albertyn and Tortelli globally struggled during their SX career (even though they both won one main event at the Coliseum, in 1997 and 1998).
Bayle was just an alien.
Every other world champ who rode US SX took their time by running first the "lites" category.
Gasjer had some huge (and very frequent) crashes earlier in his career, and he's one of the smoothest riders now. If Sacha can rein himself in a bit while keeping the speed, he'll be unstoppable.
As did Herlings...
But as they both found out as they got older, they don't bounce so well! Hopefully Sacha sorts it out soon enough.
He reminds me of the late great Eric Geboers
The fear will follow the inevitable crashes/injuries.
Kid can’t even walk normally anymore, always dragging one of his legs over the floor. No idea how he keeps getting up and back at it, he’s tough.
Is this him ? His brother rode the same bike that year. If this is Sacha that little kid can Rip . And I mean Really rip soo much faster than really fast riders.
I said this in another thread, but he and his brother crash hard way too much. Going to be a rough go in supercross if they still come over in 2026.
So I bought the mxgp tv package this year mostly because by this point SX has lost half the field of top tier riders and the broadcast makes me want to jump out a window. This kid is a complete lunatic on two wheels! So far he’s the very definition of NFG and has either gotten super lucky to not get seriously injured and/or is a tough as a $3 steak. Kid just tucks and rolls out of it every time. Right now it would be in his best interest to not even think of riding SX (yet). He’s not a boring rider that’s for damned sure.
Both brothers are so damn talented, but with fairly different riding styles... mostly due to the height difference it would seem. I wouldn't say either are very smooth though. They both just hammer 100% of the time. For Sacha, I think that just means he gets caught out more often than Lucas simply due to his shorter stature. Both of their very frequent crashes are brutal, but they're young for now and seem to bounce back pretty quickly.
If they do come to the US, SX will definitely be a tough transition for Sacha. The patience required, along with the whoops, will be very big obstacles in the way of success. Not to say it can't be done (RC and Stewart were both around his height). Lucas will likely have a faster acclimation to stadiums.
I was 5'0 when I graduated from high school.
I was nearly 6' at 19. Brutal times trying reply learn how to ride and play soccer again.
My knees were shit, I couldn't run, and my geometry was jacked.
I lost a year to soccer and motocross because I grew nearly a foot.
Then I got smart and started riding off road.
Thats amazing Seemefirst. Kind of reminds me what happened to AC. I think he had a lot of adjusting he had to do during his growing spurt.
