I easily went and looked for a source for your claim (or your friends, rather) when you couldn't be bothered, but you had no problem parroting the false statement even though you had no clue of the legitimacy.

So I may be a dumbass, but I'm doing better than you.

Xi said on Thursday that they're about to launch they're own tariffs in retaliation. So....yeah.

BREAKING: Canada, Israel, India, the EU, Japan, Vietnam, and Cambodia all pledge to DROP tariffs against the United States if President Trump agrees to do the same. What’s that? 👂 Tariffs don’t work??

Lol Israel are dropping their tariff

They're already at 0 and like Australia they're furious to get tariffed, what is there possibly to negotiate with countries applying 0 tariff? Their tariff can only go up!

For reasons stated above by dirty points, sure, Vietnam and other emerging countries will negotiate.

US exports to Vietnam are $13B.

US exports to EU are $370B, about 30 times higher. By imposing EU a tariff 4 times higher that what EU imposes US, the US made sure that EU tariffs would only go up. Any tiny rise in tariffs imposed by the EU would obliterate any potential benefits from US getting 0 tariffs from Vietnam, Cambodia and others.

No tariffs, free trade? That's crazy talk.

MAGA means MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AMERICA, as in the USA, not the world. Free trade is a ZOG Globalist policy designed to undermine and destroy the USA. Let TRUMP work his magic. Stick to the plan.

As well as have free trade agreement with friendly markets.

This would be interesting while crossing the border. Also makes me wonder if this will make it more difficult for legit racers crossing into/out of Canada for an actual race.

I see no one menioned the US debt - The federal government currently has $36.21 trillion in federal debt.

So if just printing more money, giving it away, wars, stealing and embezeling it and not charging tariffs as other countries do will just kick the can down the road till no one affords dirt bikes.  I see lots of people complaining but no one offering a solution as to how to resolve the US bankrupcy trap and debt free fall it is currently in.  Putting ones head in the sand and saying it will automatically resolve itself in 4 years time when it goes back to continued debt spiral is why there is such a problem in the first place !  Reciprical tariff is one offering as a possible solution since the forgoing of tarriffs was the very reason the US spiraled in the first place. So remedy the exact issue should help - But what was $37Tn ie it is getting better is a big hole to try and climb out of.  Ignoring this veryfactual situation will end in bigger tears than attempting a remedy which will be hard at first but should get better over time . If not tarrif adjust ment then let hear your brilliant working solutions.

For a longtime now it was noted that huge container ships from China would drop of good here in the USA and return EMPTY for the next load.  If people cannot reconize the fatal end resultant of this business model then the US deserves to fall into the hole it dug for itself. It is glaring obvious.

Yep. The big media (fueled by America haters) has vilified everything Trump does and stirred people to rage. So even if our country was going under (which was the previous course) you would still have these (primarily Democrat Soros) media driven people (and supposed experts) who would side with their captors and executioners up until their death, and the death of America as we know it.

I love that your solution is taxing the common American people rather than the rich and the corporations. Ya know, the very same people stopped manufacturing here for higher profits for overseas goods.

There isn't a place to buy or rent here anymore.

So I'm hoping for more of the same.

That's the end game most people in this thread keep missing.  The end game is to increase US manufacturing and bring it back to the US.  The tariffs are just a tool to drive that behavior.  Manufacturing jobs and a manufacturing country yields a growing economy, which increases tax base.  The tariffs are all temporary.  People need to calm the fuck down.

This affects us all.  We all want a more powerful dollar and cheaper consumer prices.  This is a blow for all of us, and there’s not a way to over intellectualize that. It is ok to criticize the people responsible regardless of how you voted.  It’s ok to change your mind if you learn new things or if facts change.

I love that your solution is taxing the common American people rather than the rich and the corporations. Ya know, the very same people stopped manufacturing here for higher profits for overseas goods.

Who do you think corporations pass the taxes too? Taxing the rich won’t help much. There aren’t enough of them to tax.

The government needs to spend a lot less but if politicians did that they wouldn’t get reelected and the guys that replace them would just jack up spending again.

Which country did the US not put tariffs on...wasn't it Russia?

I think I read where Russia doesn’t put tariffs on our products going over there!!! Don’t know if it’s true or not!!

Neither do Israel, Jordon, Singapore, Chile, Morocco, Australia, Dominican Republic, Bahrain, Oman, Korea, but Russia gets the free pass, sweeeeet!

It's worse than that, Russia puts 7% tariff, and applying the same trade deficit formula to calculate "tariff imposed on the US" it would have been among "worst offenders", imposing a 82% "tariff". Somehow it did not make it into the list even though US trades much more with them than dozens of other countries that got tariffed.

BTW still waiting for someone "that gets it" to kindly explain

- which countries abused the US applying insanely huge tariff ?

- how tariffing EU at 20% will make them lower their current 5% tariff?

- how tariffing the sh*t out of Vietnam will benefit US consumers or will make american companies like Nike, GAP and co suddenly decide to manufacture clothing and shoes in their own country ?

And some of those nations have zero or near zero US Tariffs.
