HRC Fill In Announcement This Week?

Edited Date/Time 4/1/2025 4:18am

Lars said on the pulp live show at Seattle that they have a fill-in rider “with more experience than Deano” who is going to be on the HRC 450 the remainder of the series.  He said there would be an announcement this week but so far has anyone heard much else?

Not many with more seasons than Deano but It's Fernandes. He already got the HRC connect.

At this point why? Only 6 races left. Is this HRC's way of telling us Jett and Hunter won't be ready for outdoors?

Supposedly he’s getting hrc parts now, at least according to weege during the race last week.

In his own words, Ferrandis said he was told he would not be getting the HRC fill in spot, but he would be allocated some better parts.

I wondered the same thing.  Why now? Is it because of a bad prognosis like you said? Bummer if so

Ferrandis:

“Yeah that’s my first top-five in awhile, so yeah, very good. A couple changes. We improved the bike with the suspension today, and HRC provided me with some parts, the gearbox, since Birmingham, so a little bit of everything. Also my shoulder, I’ve been struggling with that and it’s getting better the last couple of weeks. Just a little bit of everything combined where I was not 100 percent and could not ride like normal. Today the 450 class is so gnarly that if you’re not 100 percent you cannot race at the front. I think a little bit of all of that, then good start and good bike and yeah you’re great. Today was one of the gnarliest tracks I’ve ever ridden. They freshened the track for the main event and it was almost like brand new. And already after five laps you had to adjust and find different rhythms. In the end I  think the guy that can jump the rhythm like normal every lap is the guy that is going to win. I was able to do it for three quarters of the race, I was able to jump everything, but after that, yeah, you’re playing a little bit with your life!”

Was the biggest improvement Dylan or the bike?

"The bike was something today. We changed something on the fork on the soft tracks, I’ve been struggling. So this was a step in the right direction. Also I was not healthy at 100 percent for awhile and this week, finally, I have no pain and problems and do all of my stuff for fitness. Everything combined to make it better today.”

Catanzaro. Stamp it!  He’s said multiple times that he can win races if he was on an HRC bike. It’s an easy decision for HRC. They get a very popular rider that will bring more exposure to the team, and they will most definitely make every podium for the rest of the year with a few wins. I’m very excited for Catanzaro. It’s going to be great to see HRC on the podium again.

It's too bad McElrath can't find that next level of speed on a 450. He would be a great fill in, but he just is kind of lacking a bit of that spice he once had in the 250s.

We’ve all heard it’s going to be Dean, and with the PR being today, one can bet it’s going to involve Grandpa Earl.

From what I've read, he's already seen and ridden that bike. Nothing tops '87.

I heard from a reputable Vital posting “insider” it’s gonna be Ronnie Ford.

These grandpa earl things are so cringe. I’m still not sure I get if they are actually saying Wilson is doing a fill in ride or it’s just a full April fools but good for him if he is. Nice touch by Honda to give him the chance, he’s a fan fav for sure and I assume he will make those the last rides of his career? HRC bike ain’t a bad way to do that.

So is it really Deano or is this an April fools prank?
