I can't wait to see what he can do outdoors the next years. Unreal kid
Romano has been in the class for a few years and hasn’t done much i don’t think. He was getting holeshots in outdoors a few years ago, but that’s all the good i can remember he did.
Because he won his 7th ever pro sx race? Or a different reason? Not saying that isn’t very impressive, it is, but what else makes him special?
As far as bike skill goes, there can definitely be an argument to be made. His technique and progression are very impressive. Very mature for his age.

Just watching him ride. 💁🏼 Just looks more polished than the other 250 guys. Fonseca/Hansen/McGrath combo style.
I completely agree, also, his personality is only getting better. When I saw him with the sombrero a few races ago, i became a bigger fan of him.
Obviously there’s no way to determine ‘most talented’, but I tend to agree with Red cat.
Davies looks good on the bike, very balanced and smooth. He’s out there against a lot of seasoned riders. Even most of the other young guys would have more SX time than him. And let’s not forget he’s a long way from home.
Meanwhile Davies is making running at the front look easy.
I can’t think of one other current 250 rider who looked this good this early in SX.
Yeah, I am going to be honest, I haven’t focused on him very much, I will make it a point to do so the next race he’s at. I’m a fan of him for his personality, the sombrero he wore made me a bigger fan of him.
Man I wish he was closer in points. How could would it be for him to close down and take the title. 20 back isn't impossible but needs some bad luck for 38. 2 shootouts remaining
He's so light on the bike. The bike is barely touching the dirt.
I for one would like to congratulate our very latest Australian SX winner ......... er, fug, he's a Bloody Kiwi !!!!!! 😒
No Wuckers, we'll kidnap him, 're-educate' him, and he'll be using Liquid Paper / White Out on those horrid red centers on the stars of his 'former' flag.... and he can ad an extra Star to it as well.
The (new) Passport is in the mail, Cole!
I'm just living up to what some here call us : a Nation Of Criminals and Thieves, so, therefore, we have No problem with snaffling Kiwis when they do well.............
The young bloke is a bit of a Gun, that's for sure.
PS : We Luvs Yuz Kiwis!
He’s been strong all year. It was awesome to see him win. Hopefully he snags another supercross win before they go to outdoors.
Wonder how DNGR Studios is going to spin getting schooled by a rookie going forward 🤔.
Kind of like you in your loafers.
What time does Cole race?
His whoop level and confidence in incredible. What a rider. So happy to see him get this.
Is he better than deeg at this age?
Pit Row
Not only is his technique and body type similar to Jett, but so is his calm and measured racecraft.
Long ways to go of course, but what a start.
Statistically yes. Deegans first year in sx was a building year. I don’t believe he won a race in 23 but did get top 3 in points.
Davies is in a “building year” to some degree but many have considered him in the title hunt since A1. I know I certainly have
I was there last night. His whoop speed scared me. He was sending it but it was controlled. Still, they were so gnarly and for him to just pin it was incredible.
I’ve never seen someone so polished this early on except for Stewart. You know Jett is watching him and Deegan and going, “Man I’m gonna have my hands full in a few years” lol
Indoors? Absolutely. We're going to need to see what improvements he's made in mx. He's definitely a better sx rider than mx. I give the nod to Deegz when it comes to mx at his age though
I would say the only current riders in the class would be Deegan and Forkner. I'm not sure if Hampshire had a win in his rookie year. I don't believe so, but I didn't look. There is however some past riders who looked even more impressive in their rookie season. Not many, but there are a few. I shouldn't have to name them.
CFD!!!!
(Cole Fuckin’ Davies)
Kid is the real deal
2022 Unadilla 250 Moto 1. I feel bad as he’s had a terrible run of injuries since his rookie year outdoors
I thought he was up there more than that, interesting.
He def had more races than that where he was running up front, I think he was good at the opener at Pala too, but that was just his best race where he showed the most flash. Took fourth and beat Jett Lawrence straight up.
Edit: I said he took second, my bad, he took fourth
to be fair, Cole being claimed as an Aussie has taken longer then expected,
I wondered how long it would take to turn this into a "DDS" thread. SSDD.
Deegs rode up to Cole at the end of the race and threw an arm around Cole and a big pat on his back. Seemed genuinely stoked for Cole.
Then in the post race interview, Deegan came in and showed something to Cole on his cell and they were both laughing.
Cole has a very bright future in the sport. Always cool to see someone win their first big one....
Agree with this in a lot of ways. He's the only other guy I have seen in this class that has crazy speed and looks so fluid as if everything is easier for him than everybody else. It was just a matter of time before he got that win.
Post a reply to: W Davies. Inevitable
