I hope this is the right forum to put this in, but lately I’ve been curious about some older riders (2000s-2010s) who used to be stars I suppose. Everyone knows Jeremy McGrath, Mike LaRocco, Ken Roczen, Justin Barcia, and similar big names.
I know of Jason Lawrence (notably with Yamaha of Troy), Josh Grant, Justin Brayton, Nico Izzi, Austin Stroupe, and Ryan Mills, but I know I’m forgetting many other riders who were brief hot shots. I remember seeing a jersey with the name “Sleeter” at a small motocross museum in Virginia. I think that’s Mike Sleeter? I don’t know too much about him. Can anyone name some other riders who fit this category? I’m trying to find some older footage with them in their prime and whatnot. I appreciate any help!

My all time favorite rider since I was a little kid. My chick managed to get a jersey from him a few years ago for my Christmas present. He forgot to respond up until a few days before Christmas, apologized profusely, and then proceeded to to Next Day mail it to her to get it in time for the Holiday. Always thought that was cool since he didn’t have to give up a jersey, and definitely didn’t have to pay extra for express shipping. I’m sure it wasn’t cheap and he never asked for a dime. Was lucky enough to shake his hand and say thank you a few months later at Day in the Dirt. One of the most articulate styles in moto IMO, way underrated and wish he would’ve had more success in the pro ranks.
Very smart guy on the technicalities and mechanics in the engine/chassis department.

I watched him race REM at Glen Helen around 2014-15. He was so damn fast and his style was unreal
Hey Lumpy790, How about Glen Taylor he was unbeatable for a number of years in District 7 and the Amatuer Nationals if only he was able to turn Pro that would of been interesting.. Kenny Adams was another Local Superstar after his Amatuer Championships he turned to 410 Sprint car racing and won hundreds of races and Championships for nearly 20 years.
Factory Phil Lawrence. They say he's got a huge cock to top it all off. Some guys have all the luck lol
Mike Treadwell. Super good dude !
