Laughing at this tired old argument. Haiden has no obligation to show up and perform and risk his health for your entertainment for free. Especially not to line thug Luongo's pockets for no purse/pay. I have more respect for Haiden after sitting out the Des Nations.

Juju clown clown laughing at a guy who gets targeted and maliciously charged for speeding ticket, makes me respect him even less. The guy rode good the first two rounds and then got totally out-classed. Now he's laughing at his competition for getting a speeding ticket, seems like a pathetic and low-blow.

Captain America ran around with the American flag but when it came time to actually represent his country the excuses came out. I bet he’s all gung-ho for Des Nations this year.

Should he have been given a pass because he races a dirt bike and has money? Or maybe because he’s a YouTuber? He apparently broke the law and got caught. Accept the punishment and move on.

Memory is not what it once was, but he was a frequent poster here, except on anything relating to that incident. Matt? maybe

Matt Bigos. He was paralyzed from the neck down for 9 months then slowly regained mobility but still is disabled for life. His lower body is severely atrophied from the spine injury, but he can walk now and compete in the paralympics.

Same sorta thing happened to hulk hogans son. He was drag racing his modded supra in clearwater fl and hit a tree. His iraq war veteran buddy john graziano was in the passenger seat and ended up having a huge chunk of his skull missing and a severe brain injury. The pics of him are absolutely gruesome and he still requires 24 hr care to this day.

Something similar happened to a group of my friends in high school where they were drinking at the beach and the guy driving was going too fast and spun out on an on ramp and flipped the car. He was actually a pretty well known amateur rider in the superminis back in the early 2000’s but I wont mention his name as he died a couple years ago. Anyways since the driver is holding the wheel they usually dont get hurt and that was his case. Everybody else flew out the windows/sunroof though and had severe injuries.

In all 3 cases its not the reckless driver who ends up being hurt its the other people in the car. In my opinion that makes it even worse because your actions end up hurting others but you end up being fine. Its a cruel irony. I’m glad nothing bad happened to haiden and its a learning experience for him. Hopefully his dad sits him down and explains what could happen and how its no joke. Everybody does dumb things when theyre young and hopefully you get to make mistakes without destroying anybodys life. Some people are not so lucky. Take it as a wakeup call and be glad you werent arrested for something much worse. Cars kill tens of thousands of ppl per year.

not sure that i agree that supporting Luongo's criminal enterprise of a racing series for free is "representing your country."

To try and diminish his patriotism because he didn't agree to entertain you in europe without compensation is a sad and pathetic way to blackmail him for not providing you free entertainment!

If i was advising Haiden, I would tell him not to even participate in MXDN even here on US soil. Its a cash outflow to him and an uncompensated risk. So Pointless!!!

I guess Cole Davies was faster since the police didn't catch him?

Our local jail completely processes someone in including jail clothes before anything can be done regarding bail, etc.

I’m glad there was no internet record of stupid stuff we did back in the ‘80’s 😇 🤣  had to have a conversation with a young guy in the street who did stupid silly crap and was caught on camera, the look of realisation when we talked about every phone being a camera and the amount of people with CCTV you could see he just thought shit!!!, thankfully alls good now

But in this day & age there is no reason for doing that on a street - why not just go to a track day and go as fast as you want.

I just imagined the conversation with the cop. lmao

Cop: "What do you do for a living?"

Haiden: "I race dirt bikes."

Cop: "Yeah sure, enough with the funny jokes."

You suppose he at least looked the arresting officer in the eye? 🙃

What would have been really funny if he listed "Wheelyboi" as his occupation.

So what?  We've all had our chances at being stupid in a fast car.  I'll be the first to admit, I'm 49 years old and my car still sees well over a 100 literally every time I drive it.  Anybody bitching about this kid getting caught for this are a bunch of fucking Nancy Nobodies anyway.  Sit down and shut up already.

When I got hurt on 3/1/03 and had to get airlifted outa Thundercross, Matt helped and loaded up my trailer, cause he also worked for Beach Sportcycles. I had actually forgot his name.

Hahaha!  “targeted and maliciously charged with a speeding ticket”.   He was speeding, he got caught, he was over the max limit and went to jail.  Simple as that.  We all could have had that done to us at some point but we didn’t get caught. No need to make excuses for him. He got caught, that is all.

I don't know the details. I got pulled over once for a speed that could have been reckless, but the cop voluntarily reduced and I drove home with a ticket.

My instincts are telling me young kid, luxury car that the cop could never afford, probably hit 90-100 mph shifting to fourth gear. He probably could have been given a four point ticket as a warning but he got handcuffed and perp walked out of jealousy. That's what my gut is telling me.

Don’t care, did reckless shit when I was a kid myself, did many street races myself. Only I didn’t get caught🤣

Ever lost a family member to a collision that was someone else’s fault? I have, and I’m guessing you haven’t, or you wouldn’t have such a cavalier attitude towards it.

It actually is my and anyone else’s business that are a customer of Supercross/Motocross. By watching/attending races we pay the riders/athletes salaries. Same as in any professional sport. No fans ultimately equals no sport.

That's pretty laughable that you think that way. The riders bring their own outside sponsors into the series which pay virtually all their earnings. They also pay their own entry fees.

The series pays the riders a purse, which is estimated to be roughly 1% the profit of the event on any given night. The riders receive nothing from the broadcast and if anything a nominal amount of the ticket sales from the fans. Any autograph signing that the riders do for the fans is essentially goodwill. Your ticket revenue does virtually nothing for them, as the series is really just paying back their own entry fees as the purse.

They owe you literally nothing. Fans are essentially taking advantage of the riders.

A cash outflow? Maybe you don’t have much business sense. Could you imagine the merchandising money they could’ve made going overseas to represent their country? I’m sure it would not have been hard for them to play up the USA vs. the world angle.

I diminish his patriotism because it was coming across as an act. When it came time to show his patriotism he stayed home.

Supercross is going to Pittsburgh this year. If attendance is bad they don’t go back. If people don’t subscribe to Peacock and watch the races at home Peacock/NBC drops Supercross/Motocross. I’m not saying the series is teetering on my ticket sale but to say the riders owe the fans nothing is silly.

I was extremely irresponsible when I was his age. Probably lucky all I could afford were shit box slow cars that wouldn't go over 85mph. Also lived in a small country town without much traffic on the roads. Learning moment for him. No judgement here

I bet he was fucking terrified being booked, but will act like no big deal and he wasn’t scared.

Most moto dudes are very small compared to the other dudes in county jail.

You don't understand what a cash outflow is, but I'm the one who doesn't have any business sense, lol. He has to pay hotels and flights for his squad, which Tomac quoted as roughly $20k for a smaller crew. So Haiden has to spend $30k roughly. Sure he can make youtube revenue out of it, but his audience is probably capped anyway, he can probably only gross $10k more on an MXON video than he can on a video of pit bikes at the farm.

Then he has to race for free. Risk injury and likely take a loss on the venture after considering his expenses. And after he risks injury and spends his own money to do it, he's going to get destroyed by the woke mob online when the 3rd guy AP or whatever boofs it, because they will call Haiden a loser since his 4th place moto finishes weren't good enough for the mob.

He literally has nothing to gain and everything to lose by participating. He shouldn't even do it on American soil. The best thing the American team could do would be to sit out until InFront agrees to pay 50% of ticket proceeds out to the top three teams. Until then, they shouldn't entertain you idiots for free just to get castigated online for a second or third place finish!
