Why are guys running him over for position in the Vet 30 class?

He was hitting the deck before and regardless of that tough block.

He looked to be talking to somebody on the phone as they hauled him off on the mule. That's a good sign, the way he body-checked the upside of the berm, I'd guess shoulder/ribs. That was brutal for anyone, let alone a 30+ vet

30+ is another pro class at rcsx. Top 10 are mostly guys who have raced nats atleast and some supercross. Its very intense. I elected not to ride that class again this year and just rode +30b/c where there are a bunch of working class guys (exactly what all the+ classes should be).. Sucked to see him hit the ground that hard but im pumped kessler won. 

I was curious what class he was racing when I saw a ‘95 CR250 dodge him at the end of the video. Makes more sense now.

All kidding aside, that's a bummer, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Broken femurs suck. I've done both at the same time (along with my pelvis in 4 spots)

I talked with Mike this morning. He's in good spirits. He's in surgery as I type this.

Just spoke with Mrs. 800. Mike's out of surgery. Doc said it went great. Family can visit him in about an hour.

Glad to hear it!  Hope he makes a swift recovery. 

I have a buddy that works with Mike and he has been a great guy.. All the B.S. from when he was young it was his Dad.. GWS Mike!!

Years ago a local A rider at Southwick set the fastest qualifying in the 450 class at the 2011 National.

Kyle, do I know you? Mike is so easy going. Once you meet him, you have a friend for life. He's like another old pro friend of mine. Brian Roth is a great person. 

I talked to Mike today and he is on his social posting about his crash - broken  femur and he’s already had surgery as you can see from the photo. He’ll have to recover, but he’ll be back. I don’t post on  will say this Mike has been nothing but a great guy to work  last couple years and just a true ambassador for our sport.

That’s a bad one. Good thing he didn’t get his pelvis too. Tough sonofabitch that guy is.

They are no joke either, if you sever or cut the artery, that could be it.  Brent Duffe said when the EMTs rolled him over, the bone cut the artery and his leg swolled up instantly.  As soon as the lady saw that happen she radioed in for a medevac immediately.  Its honestly one of the worst injuries you could have

Damn....that makes my balls hurt just looking at that break. 

He seems really nice in interviews I’ve seen. 

I like Mike, he just loves the sport, period.
