Well....i haven't bought it "yet".......but will here in a few days. I think she's a sexy beast.....at least to me anyways. And who the hell spends $2000.00 on a fucking rebuild? I ran the shit out of my 02' for 3 yrs strait , with only re-seating the valves every few months , with one total valve replacement and one top end.

If you take care of them , and keep up on the maintenance , the 4 strokes will last quite a long time......it's all in the maintenance man. Teat it good....it'll last , treat it like shit.....she'll take a dump on you and empty your bank account.
Obviously maintenance is very important, but a well maintained bike that gets the shit ridden out of it doesn't last long if it has valves.

Yeah and those bikes cost like 8 grand back in the late 90s... Coop used to show up at OCCRA races on them.

A '96 in similar condition has been on ebay twice and the bidding stopped at $1,700 both times. The '96 is a much better looking bike too. Kinda hard to spend that kind of coin when I can get a 30 hour '98 KX250 for $1000. Still has original tires, chain and sprockets. The used bike market is incredibly soft right now.

Have you been living under a rock?

It is one of Bubba's old bikes that Kawi had laying around and it was put together and freshened up for Ryan.

You guys are too young to remember a Greeves. As a 16 year old, in '68, I had wood for a used one of these.

Don't get too excited. From what I understand Ryan saw it and thought it would be fun to ride so Fish had it freshened up.

Were the scoring towers 5 stories high back in the day or something?

Helicopter pilots hovering overhead could read them just fine.
They were meant to help cool the radiator (which was mounted high at the time).
It was Honda's first attempt at watercooling.

Hey Clay, I ended up buying that '95 on Craigslist. Turned out to be a cherry bike that looks like it has about 25-30 hours on it. Still has the original chain, sprockets, brake pads and the original tires have never been off the rims. It has a tall aftermarket seat foam/cover but he had the original cover and foam, both in perfect shape.

I know the 95's are great bikes but I still think it's ugly. lol

I dont think it is ugly at all... but I'd rather have the '93 with the 96 plastic and graphics... the red/black/yellow of the 96s were just bitchin.
My buddy still occasionally shows up with his 93 and races the intermediate class and waxes people like a candle!
