I was thinking when he went into 5th, damn that would be badass if he could get a fastest qualifier this year and then boom he gets it! Stoked to see him feeling confident 

I think this just shows that the program he’s got going on and the people supporting him is a perfect match. He doesn’t need to be a fill in guy on a new bike he’s unfamiliar with to prove what he can do. He looks comfortable!

I have followed the sport since the early 70s. So often you see a rider and think, what a waste of talent, or what could have been, so very often. Actually more often than not. Perhaps it is an unfair judgement.  Justin Hill is so talented, but he is one of those riders. I suppose he lives his life best lived!

Hate to admit it, but my first thought was that he must have missed an obstacle or two…..!

That’s impressive!  Did he find a new line some place that nobody else tried?  

Well, sadly they've never showed a glimpse of him during the session, so we don't really know

I have a hard time watching race day live anymore. They cant find a hot lap . Watch riders roll with terrible camera angles. Talk and talk with no actual viewing of the heaters or the guys fighting for 40th.

Has a privateer ever gotten fastest qualifier in Supercross?  I can't seem to remember if that has ever happened??

People aren’t giving him enough credit, he came into this year fit, healthy, and serious about making an impact and it shows.  He didn’t get lucky and this isn’t some one-off thing, I expect we’ll see more of this as the season progresses.

IIRC, Lopes out qualified Jett (and everyone else) when he was on ClubMX, if we're counting 250s. I think Anstie had a few also on Firepower.

Steve's gonna have Justin on Pulp  tonight along with Schock. Should be a good listen.

More than his one lap wonderboy speed, the dude was battling up front all three motos and got 5th overall as a lone privateer battling factory riders. Hard not rooting for him, he’s putting in the work and making shit happen. Talented musician too
