Anyone else listen to the recent podcast Steve Matthes did with Jerry Bernardo? The dude is a serious legend and badass. We need him back on the scene!

FLY Racer X Podcast with Jerry Bernardo

Theres espn races from the mid 90s on youtube where he's pit reporting with no shirt on, we'll never see that again haha!
My favorite part was when Bernardo criticized "reporters" who just say stuff into the mic and then move it over to the athlete without actually asking a question.....which Matthes does ALL THE TIME!!!

Awesome guy, met him in the pits at unadilla .one of my favorite Polaroids. Hope he's doing well.
Thanks for the recommendation, that was a good one!
Met him once at the Canterbury snocross. He was walking through staging asking us riders who we picked for the Anaheim opener race that night. The next day on our way to the track from the hotel we stopped at the gas station next to the track. He and a teenager boy where in his truck doing donuts in the snow-covered parking lot of the gas station.
Those New England dudes can be very abrasive😂at least he got style…

Do these ever get posted to YouTube?
Being a fellow New Englander, he has a special place in my heart. I moved across country and was t shirt shopping at the local Goodwill and actually found a classic FAH-Q shirt, I couldn't believe it. Best Goodwill score ever!
Just raced go- carts with him couple weeks back in vegas!, great guy.
"No trophy. No pussy"

Worked with him way back in 2005 at the first Red Bull Last Man Standing event in Bulcher, TX. It was good times.
Steve Matthes show podcasts, not video.
Didn't he start out as a helmet painter? I remember reading an article where there was a photo of one he painted for (I think) Tom Webb, with a design called "clown road kill" 😄
Yes, his helmet painting business was called Black Rainbow. My friend had him do a Clown Road Kill paint job on an Arai helmet in the early 90's, which he's worn once. He displays it like a trophy.
What does he do for a living these days?
