I think this is an example of why the scoring system in SMX is bad. Deegan had the best moto scores over the three rounds, but still lost. His ride today was impressive and I think he’ll be a threat in 27 as will Prado.

Fastest lap both motos too. He’s ripping. Starts seem very much improved. It’ll be exciting to see how next season goes down

Deegan certainly has arrived in the 450 class. Took it to Hunter and Kenny both motos. Wasn’t expecting that. You can say it’s SMX who cares, but Deegan and Prado have momentum heading into ‘27.

Ay there’s one top guy that was out there ripping in the mud at budds creek. Videos on his YouTube of him practicing in a downpour. The dude is a badass. He’s putting in the work and you won’t ever see him lay over. He’s got grit. It’s not like there isn’t always mud races multiple times every year. Stoked to see it paying off. Idc if it was a mudder. Hunter and roczen are THE competition and both started and finished the same race, just way behind Deegan.

Vital is not a true representation for much other than ill-informed opinions, and a strong dislike (to the point of embarrassment) for Haiden Deegan. Had Hunter lapped Deegan twice, the vital pack mentality would be very vocal about it and all the, “it’s a mud race” would be replaced with, “they all lined up on the same gate under the same conditions” and “0-23” bullshit.

Don't forget over 17 seconds both moto's over 2nd place. First race he was 35 seconds over 3rd place and and the 2nd moto he was 54 seconds over 3rd place. Sorry but in supercross, that's total domination. He beat the latest 450 champion by around 2 1/2 minutes in moto one and close to 5 minutes in moto 2.

Then why do people still talk about RC at spring creek 2006? Gate dropped at the same time for everyone else. No * in racing.

0-22, 38 seconds back was posted in every thread this summer. Now it’s no big deal that he won? A muddy SX main event is one thing, but to go out and do it twice on the same track as everyone else, with an average lap time of 17 seconds faster than the guy that beat you all summer and narrowly missed the SX title is damn good. Deegan himself acknowledged that it was a mud race, but he and Kenny put a whoopin on everyone yesterday. Good thing the motos were shortened, he would have lapped up to 3rd...

Ya the funny part is there are many coping Jett die hards that will say Deegan was lucky Jett is sitting out. As if his cankle stood a chance in those conditions.

While I think there's a bit of hyperbole in your post haha I do think with their technique being so precise and usually putting their wheels exactly where they want them, if their wheels aren't where they want them they're uncomfortable pushing where as Deegan has more of a 'it'll be right' kinda technique..

Truly impressed with Deegan. He is such a good mud rider!... Prado tried, but Deegan was hands-down the best. What is interesting with amateur eyes is to see how bad the Lawrences are in the mud, remember Jett in Sand Diego (I think it was) and now Hunter, both ride mud really bad, look so bad it's embarrassing... most stupid question of the day but, is there any possibility that their perfect technique doesn't translate to mud at all... and Deegans 'bad ass riding' works much better in mud.

He is already a fan favorite. He has the longest autograph lines and people were going nuts in the stands the last few laps both motos for him. Vital is not a true representation of the fandom.
