I think a huge draw to the Surron’s is no maintenance, sound, or gas/oil. I’d guess 90-95% of the kids riding them probably don’t have any interest in a legitimate dirt bike or any kind of off-roading. Having a legitimate dirt bike means changing oil, increased operating cost (maintenance, fuel etc), and having to travel to a legitimate track to ride. That’s probably the biggest appeal about them is that they can ride right out of their front door, meet up at the local 7/11, and then ride all over town with minimal fuss. New England legend Bob Hicks passed away yesterday at age 96. He was one of the founders of both the NESC motocross race series and the NETRA trail series that operate through New England. He was also the founder of Trail Rider Magazine among many other accomplishments in the sport. He probably did more for dirt biking in New England than anyone else in the history of motorcycles. Just thought I’d share to pay respect as a fellow New England dirt biker.

IMO, that setup looks lean. I would start of with and H series needle on that bike. I would expect it to looks something like this. NECH in #3 45/48 pilot 168/170 main This is with the oem power jet. Air screw at 1.5 to start out.

Two days before Joe passed, we were texting about a source that he had for zinc plating bolts for a restore that I was working on. I believe the 5CU head has a combustion chamber volume of 22.0cc The 5UP is 21.0cc, and the 5WM 21.5cc. Note: the 5WM head off a 250x is 23.5cc I use a 5UP head on my 24' 250YZx. I mix a little of 110 race fuel, 1-gal to 4 gal of 93, just for insurance against detonation,

Just as I said previously… They don’t care about facts, truth or reality. No worries. They’ll never understand that carrying a weapon requires cognizance …as in the sane capability to know when and where to carry…or… Not. The guy The whole operation was after was Jose Huerta Chuma, A domestic abuser and violent assault alien.
