I’m confused on the alpinestars bit. Was this for merch? They were printing tees and Mirtl never paid the invoice so they took it off the Lawrence’s salary?

Totally spitballing here but I am betting they sell the replica jerseys to the VIP experience which is a different entity than the company that they do all their rider contracts though.  So then in the contract for each it likely states that the merch must be paid for before they release funds to the rider contract side.

It appears Astars printed them custom replica jerseys or shirts and Mirtl never paid for them so Astars took the money out of the 2025 payment to the bros.

Pretty classic house of cards type stuff, taking money from your current project to secure your next project but it all falls apart before you can repay it even if you intended to.

Is there some alternate universe where he actually thought he was "family" and that Jett/Hunter wouldn't mind him using 600k to help himself and make future money? I mean he actually wrote what the payments were for. When your talking that much money you can't just do as you please without permission. It'd be incredibly sad if he actually thought they wouldn't care. One look from anybody and there immediate thought is theft. The Astar stuff in particular is head scratching because he had to know that someone from Astars would talk to the Lawrence family eventually. It's like he knew this day was coming. Maybe it's a guy struggling thru a divorce, maybe there's some drugs/alcohol involved, or maybe it's just pure scum baggery. Regardless it's just sad.

The Phil comments are over my head.  Are these jokes? If not it feels unfair to Phil to put his name in the convo at all

he was sponsored by Jettson donuts

Ok for some reason I thought that was all kind of a cheeky joke more than a financial deal.  Thanks for the context!

Lawyer here. Drug/alcohol problem usually explains why do something so stupid and obvious. Lawyers that fall into drug/alcohol problems do the same types of things and disbarment occurs almost instantly. Even accidentally mixing funds but not spending them. Biggest no no you can do as an agent/lawyer.  Criminal charges incoming. Pretty clear cut evidence given forensic accounting to show the breach and criminal thefts. Contracts, fiduciary duties and common sense are clear on the these rules.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's some coke/adderal type stuff flowing through his veins, but I genuinely think it's more a product of his environment and just basic greed.

Last I knew he lives in Newport Beach, CA. I lived there and Dana Point for about 7 years until 2020, and it's truly a crazy environment. The cost of living to live a very basic life is astronomical by itself, and then you're surrounded by people living a very unrealistic lifestyle. Whether it's trust fund kids, Bitcoin/Crypto millionaires, Executives of Corporations, Insurance moguls, Capital Investment folks...the money seems endless. You've got to be grounded and realistic about what lifestyle you can truly afford to live there.

I have a feeling between that and being around his clients who make millions, he believed he was one of them and was entitled to the same lifestyle. The OC life got him, IMO. It's so damn common in that area to get caught up for shit like this. I actually left in 2020 after discovering my business partner was funneling funds to his wife for sales commissions that didn't exist. Decided I needed to do business in an area where people are less concerned about their image and appearance, and more likely to be patient and play the long game.

his address is listed as a home in Porter, Tx - just fyi. Am assuming he moved.

He really does need to learn to shut up, only making matters worse for himself

Paying for divorce lawyers and payments of other clients RV’s with the Lawrence’s accounts is not a good look, especially since it now looks like they have the proof on paper

I suppose hindsight is 20/20, with that said I’m surprised the Lawrence family didn’t have things set up so all transactions over a specific dollar amount had to be approved/ counter signed.

I hope they can recoup all lost money and this worthless piece of shit gets fucked as hard as possible by everyone. I fucking hate predatory thieves that steal money from youngsters who place their trust in them.

I have been entertained by nearly all of the podcasts out there dancing around this subject but rarely saying. "LET'S WAIT FOR THE FACTS". Here they are. Someone was just way to comfortable with someone else's money. "Can't do that dude"  - Heather. Keefer

Either Mirtl does not have a lawyer (no money to pay for one?), or his lawyer is furious that his client won't shut the hell up and stop posting shit online.

Lawsuit 101 is "no comment", but he can't keep his arrogant mouth shut (or the modern version, can't resist posting comments about the litigation).

Well, the last time he needed to pay for a lawyer, he had to commission them on the good ol' "Jettson Donuts LLC" retainer.

what a shit-ton of drama. Wonder if these new agents knew a little more than they might have told Wasserman/Lawrences with Mirtl's veiled threat at those guys? I mean, he trained Travis as an agent, right? And he didn't know about ANYTHING Mirtl was doing? Perhaps, but unlikely. Not sure how this helps Mirtl, though.

He keeps on inferring that one of his friends/protege spilt the beans (even now putting them out there now by name and with a snake emoji). Dude's brain is broken. Obviously informing the company that a dude is running an entire fraudulent side biz and embezzling personal funds seems like a reasonable, not snake-ish thing to do.

You think he wrote what the payments were for? What? It's called forensic accounting. Unless the allegations in the lawsuit are just simply fabricated, you can't come to any other conclusion than "theft."

You can't look at his actions and try to apply common reasoning. Again, based on the allegations and his reactions so far, he is unbelievably arrogant and self-righteous. To go on Pulp and act like he did, and to now call a lawsuit part of on "online PR campaign" is next level arrogance.

This looks pretty damning for mirtl but lets see how this play out in court. We only have one side of the story at this point. (It doesn’t look good but that’s what the plaintiffs representations job is after all)

This Mirtl fellow, he has a bright future at Goldman Sachs or some other Wall Street bank. He'd make a top shelf banker. If Enron were still around he could work in their accounting dept. Dudes got skilz.

True, though what would be an acceptable answer at this point? Even if the Lawrence camp in writing gave him permission to additional funds to cover whatever he was using them for, it still seems like taking them out of the account in question in this manner would not be SOP.

Who's worse...Mirtl or Rich Taylor?

This is why you don't go on podcasts and claim innocence before the court documents come out. Now he just sounds like a bigger liar. I like how he never truly denied anything except that he was more worried about how it went down. Like, BRO you obviously committed these crimes and you're thinking you'll be able to counter sue because they fired you and made it publicly known? What an idiot.
