I just went to respond to a guy who quoted me but the post has been deleted. But here's my response to the guy who asked "Wouldn't that just be legitimate business expense?"
If it was something like excessive business expenses it would likely play out like this:
In Mirtl's mind he was flying private to Miami to meet with a big name to discuss potential sponsorship or deal. He wrote off the private jett, the 5 star hotels, and all the expensive meals and entertainment while there for the week. It's likely he did actually meet with someone while there to justify in his mind writing off a whole 60k trip, but that's where the excessive and misappropriate use of funds come into play.
And he just might be able to put together a defense that shows he was led to believe it was possible to use the joint account for his lavish "business developemnt" expenses with some sort of verbiage in the contract or a text/email conversatoin he had with someone involved.
This is why I would never come out and claim fraud and theft publicly even if I had solid evidence. Because as you all have seen, if OJ can get off, anyone can get off as long as the defense is better than the plantiff/prosecutor. I've seen some smoking gun cases lose in court due to poor prosecution and tehcnicalities.
Mirtl could also make a case that his accounts had been hacked and he had no idea the funds were being funneled out. So much bullshit can be drummed up and it comes down to a jury in the end...
That is the best case scenario for him

I was not joking as it happens all the time and it's the most likely scenario of what happened. I explained above as an example to someoene else who quoted me but then deleted his message.

I sure hope they have plenty of obvious and irreputable evidence because the Lawrence's accusing him of this publicly is an easy deformation lawsuit if this turns out to not be exactly as they say it happened. No lawyer would ever advise them to make a post like that it would be more like we parted ways and it pans out later.
