I just noticed yesterday Justin Cooper is rocking an HJC helmet now. Thats pretty cool not many pros have worn HJC which seems kind of crazy when you think about it with how long theyve been around and how many ppl had their helmets. It seems like they kind of went away in the last 5-10 years, are they making a comeback? Seems like they should have capitalized on the marketshare they had in the past. I looked on google trying to find what helmet he is wearing but couldnt find it are they releasing a new one? This has to be the best rider thats ever worn HJC before tbh.

Model: RPHA 01X
Release: 2026
Are they higher end helmets now or still going for the low end? I have to imagine cooper wouldnt ride in a $100 helmet.
^They started making better-quality helmets around 2010, I think. Maybe earlier. Someone else rode in HJCs a while ago; I want to say Andrew Short or maybe Trey Canard...

You have probably seen more HJC helmets than you think.
I know these Thor helmets were made by HJC:
HJC is like one of the biggest helmet manufacturers in the world. That one looks actually pretty good!
I run their RPHA 11 on the track days, and i'm going to buy their RPHA 1 soon.
HJC is a manufacturer, not just a brand. I don't know all of their clientele, but they produce quite a few helmets for various brands.

The RPHA side of HJC is very high end. Their road helmets are top notch. What he is wearing is very far removed from what many of us think when we hear 'HJC'.
Chiz was one.
Colt Nichols and Justin Rodbell were using this model last year. It's surprising to me that such a big company has it in the prototype stage for so long. I'm interested to see how it stacks up against the other high end helmets. This paint scheme that Cooper has is kind of unflattering to the shape of the helmet. Brandon Ray was wearing an all black one in AX and it looks really good (like a cross between SE5 & Moto9).
I mean I’m not hating I used to wear an hjc myself, I just wasnt sure if theyre moving into the higher end now. Cool to see imo!
I'm glad to see HJC upping their quality. They are one of the only helmets that actually fit well for me, so hopefully they make the upgraded helmets in the bigger sizes too!
I've been wearing HJC the past few years. I'm currently using the FG-X model helmet that has been out since Chisholm ran them 7-8 years ago. It's been a good helmet so far only needing to replace the visor screws. The thing about the HJC that I wish they had is a MIPS system like Bell and TLD have in their helmets then it would be a game changer.
P.S. Nathan Ramsey and Nick Wey used to race in HJCs in the 2000s.
I guess this is a somewhat related question; is Oakley a new sponsor as well?
Kind of surreal seeing Oakley goggles on a HJC helmet lol
Ask Hepler how that HJC helmet worked out for him.
Pit Row
Which one the HJC or the Arai with the HJC stickers?
First generation of Fox helmets were made by AGV to.
came here to say this
He wore Oakley all year
I believe you're thinking of Broc Hepler, I can't recall Short or Canard in HJC
Why?
Probably because it is the highest end goggles you can buy sitting on a low end helmet?
Justin Cooper - 2006 - HJC Helmet
Wasn't it a crash on the yamaha track , that was the equivalent of concrete? I don't know if any brand would have helped.... especially not 15 years ago.
I think we've already covered his helmet not being a low end model
Low end helmet made of carbon? 😅
