I don’t really in root for Deegan or Jett just like to see good racing. And this might be sound blasphemous but Deegan is already better then jcoop, webb (and Webb is getting up there in age) outdoors. Sexton is obviously a challenge and maybe hunter.
The difference I see in Deegan is his willingness to hang it out to make shit happen. Reminds me of RC in his 125 days.
Please give examples or let us know how/why you think HD is better than both JC & CW outdoors.
I love both guys but ever since his one outdoor title Webb hasn't had the fire in MX. Yeah he got the one win but other than that he's not been a factor. Justin's wins have always come from the front. He's fast but if he doesn't start up front he rarely if ever rides through traffic. Deegan has a fire in his gut not unlike RC and he has won from both damn near dead last and the front. It is pretty obvious what his trajectory in the sport is barring a serious injury.

I dunno, maybe it's because he just dominated a Championship with a bunch of come from behind rides and JCoop hasn't won a Championship and only wins races when he holeshots?
Or maybe it could be that Deegan won more races THIS YEAR than JCoop has in his whole career?

Deegan hasn't even gotten on a 450 yet? Yes CW hasn't lit the world on fire in MX but wait till they line up before claiming it as facts.
No Deegan hate here at all, he a stud on a dirtbike, but claiming he's already better is an opinion until they line up on 450's. Soggy posted like they already had 450 results to prove his statement.
He probably will be better at MX than Webb, but do we have any kind of lap-times 450-to-450 at the test track? I mean they all run the same track at practice, no?
Webb has a Championship as well so I don't think that's quite as cut and dry.
Based on comparing stats with JCoop it seems glaringly obvious that Deegan is better, but I guess if you want to hide behind Deegan not riding a 450 yet....then ok.
So does that also mean that we can't say Deegan is better than say.... Freddie Noren or Shane McElrath or Justin Bogle... because Deegs hasn't beat them on a 450 yet?

…he has been doing training motos on a 450 for a couple years now. When he lived around here, we would see him show up at the track on Brian‘s YZ 450 a few times. First one I saw him on track on the big bike was a year or so before his first AMA pro season.

Yes, Deegan won the SMX title rookie year and sophomore year, and dominated the 250 MX series this past summer with 10 moto wins. Jett had 8.
SMX wasn’t around when jett was in 250s.
